"Elder, can you please direct whoever you are going to send to get the materials to me? I want to be the one to pay for the materials. You are already doing me a great favour. I don't want to burden you or the Family."
"Nonsense! The materials aren't cheap. If the Family won't invest in you, who should it?" The Fiery Protector retorted.
"I am richer than I look sir." Korede smiled faintly. "I don't want to burden someone else when I can bear it myself!" His tone was resolute.
The Fiery Protector was well aware of the Family's 'it is best to rely on yourself' doctrine.
