CH712: A Mole's Price
Later that night...
A convoy of pickup trucks sped towards a village in the Latakia mountain range.
The village had a wooden construct forming a semblance of a fence around it. There was also a raised platform which functioned as a watchtower.
A man on the watchtower noticed the convoy speeding towards the village and raised an alarm.
A few men from the village rushed out towards the fence's gate. There were about twenty of them.
Their leader was a fat burly man with an unkempt busy beard and a scar across his forehead.
The man's head throbbed as he saw the approaching vehicle. The scene was reminiscent of the event that caused the scar on his forehead.
His men found cover positions.
Soon enough, the incoming insurgents arrived at the gate. They opened fire on the village militia without a word.
