The other members of the captured delegation, including Maria, regain consciousness as Fatima busied herself plotting an escape plan.
Many of them were understandably distraught.
Maria took the lead in calming the people in the female cell while the highest ranking government official settled those on the male side. They managed to bring a small measure of calm amongst the captives.
The people exchanged opinions on their current predicament. Some comments were useful and forward-thinking while others were useless and based on their fears. The leaders on both sides acted quickly to squash the fear-filled comments as they threatened to ruin the uneasy calm in the air.
Fatima didn't take part in these discussions.
It was more like she ignored them outright once she figured they weren't any help. She focused her attention on their captors.
