'Is he speaking hypothetically?' President Isong wondered.
He was a little unsure.
On one hand, Korede's gaze was too determined, but on the other, the president was sure there was no cure for Alzheimer.
"Hypothetically, let's say there is a cure for my condition, it won't change the fact that I won't be running for another term in office."
Korede's hand shook
"What?! Why?" The president's words caught him unexpected.
"For one, there is a process. Lobbying has to be done within the party to earn the party's ticket. This doesn't change even for a sitting officeholder. After finding my prognosis which signalled the end of my political career, I used the political capital I built up to push through some of my policies in the National Assembly.
