'Where am I?'
Korede's consciousness woke. He found himself in a dark space. The darkness seemed void of everything else except the darkness, even the feeling of the Laws he usually took for granted couldn't be felt by him.
The concepts of Time, Space, Balance, Gravity, Life, Fate… they all eluded him in this space.
'I remember… I died, didn't I?'
'The afterlife is much bleaker than I expected.' Korede released a wry chuckle. 'Perhaps this is the waiting space before judgement and the afterlife?'
He sighed.
'I wonder what happened afterwards. Did I successfully steer the missile away from the city?'
'How will my parents take my death? My brother? My team? I wonder how they're all doing.'
Korede chuckled again.
