**Flashback**
After leaving the building he made the shot from, Abdul-Lateef didn't rush to retrieve Sean's 'body'. Instead, he monitored the happenings like a hunter ready to pounce at the slightest opportunity.
It didn't take long for the conflict between the Intel Agencies to escalate into a car chase on the streets of New York City.
Abdul-Lateef didn't have to join the chase. There was a tracker embedded into Sean's clothes. He used it to monitor their trail from a distance while waiting for a chance to present itself.
When the van distanced itself from the chasing Intel agents, Abdul-Lateef figured that time was now.
He rammed into the van with his SUV, killed the hostiles in the vehicle and retrieved Sean.
