"Kill me! Just like you did my father! It won't matter. I'll never surrender to a monster like you!" The new king of humanity sounded brave and sure, if only he wasn't trembling so hard Sael was pretty sure he heard his knees knocking together.
"Well, I definitely see the family resemblance. You have your father's idiotic resolve." Sael sighed.
"My father was a great man! One of the greatest kings in history. I'll not yield, you can try any torture you want. Any dirty underhanded method. You will get nothing from me!" They actually spat towards him. Sael just stared off into space thinking. He couldn't blame the young king, his father was just killed. He didn't really feel bad about it honestly, to him only those close to him mattered. Try as he might, he just couldn't make himself care that much. Not even with the Shadow having pulled away much of his "darker" nature. He could pretend, but that only worked for others.
