Chapter 96 - Vessel of War

Huge hooves thundered through the corridor as a six legged equine form rushed forward.  Although equine in design it was covered in incredibly thick hand sized scales that made a slight clinking sound with each gallop.  Coiled like a slumbering snake at its rump was a tail that ended in a slender stinger that leaked venom constantly.  As terrifying as this made the several ton vessels it was only the beginning.  Instead of an animal head, the upper body of a male elf rose up like that of a centaur.  Yet, even here such a simple thing wouldn't suffice, from the lower part of its ribcage two additional arms grew.  These lower arms held heavy tower shields that were currently braced to form a wedge in front. While the upper arms held both a slender wooden lance and a billhook polearm, whose head looked formed of glowing embers.
