Jayden was reluctant to break his embrace, but he knew that they needed to talk. He loosened his hold on Jasmine's body and laid his head on the tree trunk. Jasmine laid on his chest, not ready to look him in the eye.
" Darling, won't you let me see your face? I have been yearning to see you for a very long time now. It feels like an eternity. Everything looks peaceful again. I have declared war against the universe since it plotted against me and took you away. Finally, I can reconcile with the world."
Jasmine's heart skipped a beat. Was Jayden always this sweet? Or did he become bolder after losing her? She removed her spinning head from his chest. Albeit her intention to look at him, her spinning head didn't let her. She ended up laying back.
" I am sorry, Jay. I have a migraine coming on. My head feels so heavy I can hardly lift it. Is it alright for me to rest a little on your chest? Sorry for any inconvenience. "
