The explosion was a good sign. The more baboons die by booby traps, the less Arvin had to face by himself. But this was also a bad sign. The booby traps were activating left and right. This meant that the place where Arvin was currently running was probably filled with booby traps. And that was a bad thing.
Arvin was in no condition to keep an eye out for the baboons as well as be on a lookout for the booby traps that had been lying around here somewhere. He was trying his best and while running he had avoided one tripwire by a length of a hair. But still, his condition was not so good currently. So it was really hard for him to be doing all of these things.
