Currently, Arvin was in a weird forest and he had found two old men who not only are powerful but also carnivores. They were eating humans for god sake. This also lets Arvin question the meat that he ate in Nekota city. Did he eat beef or was there something humane about that meat?
But then Arvin thought that maybe this was bogus. While on the second and third floor, why Arvin didn't hear anywhere that fennec foxes are carnivores. So why is this old man talking about eating a leg of that man? So is he just a psychopath or this is what fennec foxes do?
