Chapter 95 - Chapter 95

"Hurry up, you two, we have a reservation." Jaxon shooed them out of the room so that they could head out for dinner.

"What's wrong with the food we have at home?" Leon grumbled.

"Will you cook it then?" Jaxon raised a brow.

"That's not an option." Darian cut in. "Don't make him think it is."

They would be lucky to get away with a burnt kitchen if they left Leon to his own devices in the kitchen.

"You are both stalling again." Jaxon scolded.

After lots of hurrying and shooing, he finally got the both of them in the car.

God, it was like babysitting a couple toddlers.

He had been pleasantly surprised when he came to check up on them after finishing the book he had been on, just to make sure they hadn't tried to off each other and found them wrapped around each other.

Something he never thought he'd see in a million years, he doubted they willingly got into that position too but he would take whatever he got.

Not everyone got lucky enough to fall in love with two people and have those two people get together as well.

Darian and Leon weren't the type to be skittish if they were attracted to a person but for some reason, their brain cells seemed to cancel out each other when it came to that with them.

He was simply helping things along, plus, he also wanted to go on a date with them.

They were all official anyway, the both of them just shied away from putting a label on them because it meant that they would have to acknowledge what was between them.

Jaxon didn't have all the patience in the world.

They eventually got to the restaurant and Jaxon took the lead, it was a fancy one and he had chosen to splurge for their sake.

Nothing too extravagant though, that would have made them all uncomfortable.

He hadn't been expecting though for Darian and Leon to trail behind him, looking very out of their element.

He was as much an introvert as any of them but their violent reaction to being out in public where social interaction couldn't be avoided was a big surprise.

"When do we get to go back home?" Darian grumbled, a dark look in his eyes as he eyed up anyone that came too close, sticking beside Jaxon.

Jaxon just rolled his eyes. "We just got here." He scolded. "Please don't cause chaos." He added when a look from Leon made a woman herding her children startle, the poor lady hurrying away with her kids, most likely traumatised for life.

"Yeah, as long as they stay away from me." Leon grumbled.

They had attracted attention as soon as they walked in, Jaxon couldn't blame the diners for their reaction, Leon and Darian behind him made them look like they were a part of the mafia or something equally as dangerous.

The waitress that walked up to them looked incredibly nervous. "D-Do you have a reservation?" She stuttered lightly, keeping her eyes on Jaxon.

Not that Jaxon could blame her, he didn't have to glance at them to know that they were probably staring holes through her.

"Yes."

"Of course, please come with me." She said quickly, turning around like she wanted to bolt.

"Cut it out you two." He whispered to them.

Darian's eyes were narrowed. "Why did she keep looking at you?" He asked suspiciously.

"I don't know, maybe because you both looked like you wanted to gut her." He fired back.

"That would be too messy." Leon drawled lazily. "Snapping her neck would be far better."

Darian shrugged, he had to agree. "And more efficient..."

"Stop fucking plotting about ways to murder our waitress." He cut them off.

"Right here." The waitress said cheerily, directing them to their table before bolting.

"Fuck, I think she heard us." Leon muttered, taking his seat.

"She'll live." Darian waved away.

Jaxon was unfazed at this point, already used to their quirks.

After a while, the same waitress made her way back to their table, quite reluctantly too.

"Have you decided on your orders yet?" She asked politely, pushing loose curls from her bun behind her ears.

They gave her their orders and she left afterwards, returning soon after with their orders.

Dinner was peaceful, their conversation light as they enjoyed their food and each other's company, it was easy to tune out the rest of the world.

"Do you think we should get dessert?" Jaxon perked up when they were done with the main course.

"Are you asking us or yourself?" Darian clarified, glancing at Leon.

"Don't know why I even bother." Jaxon muttered, knowing that Darian was right, they both saw right through him anyway. "I wonder if they have pumpkin pie, I miss it."

The waitress made her way back to the table to inquire if they would like desserts just at that moment.

Food crumbs on Leon's lower lip caught Darian's eye and without thinking, he reached out a hand to wipe it off with his thumb.

He really should have put out a warning first.

Because just as he swiped with his thumb, the mf just bit him, not letting go.

Darian's eyes widened slightly at this then he used the hand that Leon had bitten to pull his face closer, slanting his head for a quick kiss.

The waitress that had just shown up, straight up choked at this sight, looking like she might like to bolt again.

Jaxon just ignored them, smiling at the waitress. "I'll have a slice of pumpkin pie..." He glanced at the menu again. "And can we have a white chocolate, raspberry cheesecake to go please." He concluded.

"Er...erm of course, right away." She bowed unconsciously, pattering away.

Jaxon glanced at Leon and Darian with a hidden smile, Leon looked traumatised while Darian looked accomplished.

"There, that got rid of the food crumbs." He muttered decidedly, his eyes fixed on Leon's lips like he expected more crumbs to pop out of the blue. "Why didn't you bite my tongue this time?" He teased him.

Leon was speechless, his ears warm as he gaped at Darian, incredulous.

"You both nearly killed our waitress." Jaxon said casually, looking around longingly for when his slice of pie would show up.

The table went oddly quiet after this but Jaxon blatantly ignored it, digging into his pie, there was no missing the tension heavy at the table.

The dinner date had been an absolute success.

After he was done with the pie, there was no reason to hang around any longer so they headed out.
