He didn't like to willingly touch Ethan though. "Fine." He agreed grudgingly.
This was ridiculous...
Ethan didn't say anything after Leon got on his back, quietly walking deeper into the woods.
Leon wasn't about to break the silence.
He started to worry though when Ethan kept walking.
"You planning to hike down to another town?" He couldn't help blurting out.
Almost like Ethan had been waiting for him to speak he stopped, finally letting Leon down.
Leon was quick to put space in between them. "Why did we come all the way out here anyway? I didn't even walk."
Ethan let him move away, leaning against a tree with his arms crossed.
"I haven't seen your wolf since I left." He said casually.
Leon was unimpressed. "It's not like we change coats every year."
"Just shift, Leo." He grumbled, in no mood to argue with him.
Leon rolled his eyes, tempted to shift then break out into a run afterwards.
Even as he took off his shirt, the idea turned around in his mind, looking more appealing the more he thought about it.
Ethan would chase after him though, he wasn't about to test the speed of the other in such a dangerous manner.
Because Ethan would enjoy the chase and the bruises he would give him.
Leon shifted and stretched out his paws, tail moving slowly from side to side as he waited to see what Ethan would do, plopping down for good measure.
A glint sparked in the depths of Ethan's eyes even as he slowly walked over, appraising Leon over with an inscrutable expression.
Leon paid him no mind, impatiently waiting for whatever this was to be over with, Ethan's gaze was really objectifying, it made him uncomfortable.
Ethan had no reason for making Leon shift, he just wanted an excuse to see his wolf.
There wasn't much of a difference as Leon pointed out, his fur was still that captivating shade of white with a splash of black on his left paw, Ian had his black patch on his right paw or they would have been identical in their wolf form.
He was much bigger though than average and had an impressive wolf, Ethan fell quiet often around him now because he got lost in thoughts of how to get Leon all to himself.
He stopped directly in front of him, taking quite a big risk as he reached upward to pet him, rubbing the sides of his face like he was a pet.
Leon's muted growls slowly grew in their intensity, his fangs flashing as he snarled.
Ethan knew it was smart to take his hands away and so he did, stepping back a bit for good measure.
Leon watched him sceptically as he took off his own shirt, he didn't expect Ethan to decide to shift as well. He probably should have been cautious when the large grey wolf prowled over to him.
One moment he was watching Ethan walk over and in the next he was flat on his back from an unpredicted attack.
Ethan used a heavy paw to hold him down and before he could retaliate, he felt sharp fangs dig into the skin above his shoulders.
A pained growl escaped him at this, his instincts kicking in. He had their positions reversed in the next moment and didn't hesitate to attack, going for the vulnerable spot under his maw.
It took all of Leon's self restraint to not rip out the other's throat, although he bit hard enough to make Ethan bleed.
Instead he let go and stepped away, shifting back to his human form to get dressed while gagging at the taste of Ethan's blood still lingering in his mouth.
He couldn't say exactly what Ethan had been planning to do, he could never predict his actions and it made Leon wary.
His shoulder was sore, visible bruises of teeth marks that would heal eventually but not quickly enough.
He had no explanation for what had happened and honestly he didn't want to get any, it was clear that Ethan had expected his retaliation because he had made no move to protect himself.
Considering the absolute freak show they both had going on, it was a bit odd for him to be bothered about this.
"Can we leave now?" He turned around to look at Ethan to see him shirtless, his shirt held in a hand as blood dripped down the slight gash in his neck, painting his neck and collarbone red.
It wasn't anything to be worried about but things could get messy with all that blood getting everywhere.
Leon didn't feel remorseful about cutting Ethan open and he wouldn't hesitate to do it again if Ethan so much as looked at his neck the wrong way.
Ethan didn't even look upset, that irritating, smug, little smile back on his face.
He walked over to Leon, making no move to put on his shirt, not that he could blame him. If he did he would just end up getting blood all over his shirt.
Leon clenched his teeth as he got backed up into the trunk of a tree, he had his own shirt back on but the rough texture of the tree wasn't the best against his back.
Ethan placed the one hand that wasn't holding his shirt on the trunk beside Leon's head. "You know I'm not going to let you get away with this." He said calmly, indicating the bleeding gash under his neck.
That had to hurt.
"You sound like you want more." Leon said without remorse, glaring down at Ethan even though he was a couple inches taller.
Leon wasn't a skilled warrior for no reason, if it came down to it, he could take down Ethan if he needed to.
He could see it in Ethan's eyes, he knew this too.
A fleeting emotion went past Ethan's dead grey eyes but he didn't back off, moving even closer, slipping a leg in between both of Leon's.
"As long as it's from you, I might not mind." Ethan shrugged.
Leon had gotten quite a few wrongful assumptions from others about himself but he could truthfully say that Ethan was fucking nuts...
