Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Darian was unfazed, not losing his composure as he concentrated on the task ahead.

In terms of brute force, Darian easily had the upper hand but Leon was smart and had an uncanny strength that no one expected which made it easy for him to overpower his opponents.

But not this time, Darian easily held him down, tying him up properly like he asked for.

When he had made sure that there was no way his superior could get loose, Darian stepped back to admire his work before going round to the car one more time.

"D?" Leon called out, the strange sensation of the ropes chafing against him, he was usually the one doing the tying up. "D? What the fuck are you doing?" He asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice. "D, if you fucking…"

"For fuck's sake." Darian showed up again, cutting off his rant, brandishing a roll of duct tape. "Are you also murdering people and hiding bodies?" He muttered under his breath, peeling off a strip.

He didn't give Leon the chance to affirm or deny it, although knowing the irritating werewolf, he would say yes just to annoy him.

He slapped the strip of duct tape over Leon's mouth, almost losing a couple fingers.

"See ya." He said without a second thought, closing the trunk against Leon's look of intense disbelief.

Darian just casually walked back to the car, tossed the tape in the backseat, settling in to complete the drive back.

This time around it was peaceful, although he knew the peace wouldn't last for too long, Leon would be out for his neck the moment he got the chance.

Leon was silently cursing in his prison, had he brought this upon himself? Well, yes but Darian was supposed to be the logical one and he wasn't supposed to end up trussed up in the trunk of his own car.

The cold bastard had tied him up far too well, there was absolutely no give like tying up people and throwing them in his trunk was a part of his daily life… although in all honesty, Darian would probably be too uninterested to go to the lengths of killing people.

He hoped that would hold true in his case…

Darian wasn't going to kill him right? He wouldn't count on the impossibility of that.

The journey seemed to drag on forever but eventually the vehicle stopped and another worry crawled up Leon's neck…. What if the fucker left him in the trunk?

His eyes widened at this, that was actually something that Darian could do.

He cursed, the tape around his mouth muffling his words. He had to get out somehow, he thought to himself, squirming..

But the realisation hit hard when he could barely move that unless Darian freed him, he was going to be stuck there.

After the car stopped, there was the longest silence before the trunk swung open, Darian's blank face looking in. He easily ignored Leon's look of rage although the blond's blue eyes were spitting fire.

"Have a nice nap?" He drawled conversationally although he knew that Leon couldn't respond.

Leon just gritted his teeth as he watched Darian take his time freeing him, big hands working methodically.

He had to be careful, if he tried to attack Darian then, the odds on both their sides were almost equal, that was too risky to attempt unless he wanted to end up getting tied up, this time for the rest of the day.

Just the few minutes he spent already had him with reddened skin that burned slightly, not to mention the ache in his joints, he wasn't about to continue being trapped.

So he remained docile as Darian got rid of the ropes around his wrists and ankles, leaving him to get rid of the tap himself which he did with a wince.

"If you plan to trip me down the stairs, don't, because I'll take you down with me." Darian said to him, stepping back so that Leon could come down.

He did this with a burning frown, grumpily slamming the trunk shut before following after Darian, stretching tiredly.

"When I get back at you, you'll wish all I did was trip you down the stairs." Leon finally spoke, his voice had gone back to being teasing but Darian wasn't fooled.

This all wouldn't be so irritating if Leon hadn't been the one to start the entire thing, him bothering Leon's sleep didn't count.

It was still early but not too early that the hallways were empty, Pack members getting ready for their day.

Everyone gave them a wide berth, which was just fine, they weren't exactly fit for socialising, blood splashed clothes would do that.

When they got to the top floor, Dream was waiting for them with a slight smile.

"Had fun today?" He asked them smoothly, his long hair in a loose bun.

Darian immediately narrowed his eyes. "What do you want?"

Dream easily brushed off his suspicions. "Don't worry, I won't be tactful about it." He gave a reassuring smile to Leon who looked a little lost. "But apparently, you both pissed off your Alpha… I have a feeling it's not going to be the only time…" He added under his breath.

"You didn't have to say that." Darian muttered with a dark expression.

"V sent you to babysit us?" Leon raised a brow, scoffing. "Unbelievable."

"So you are both going to be spending the entire day at my Pack House." He concluded with a patronising smile.

"Dream, why do you have a bat?" Darian asked, his eyes wide.

Dream smiled again like a hostess on a plane. "That's not important…"

Leon ducked, his quick reflexes the only thing saving him. "You just swung at me!" He exclaimed in disbelief.

Another one of Dream's disarming smiles. "I think we are all missing the important thing here, which is you coming to spend the day at my Pack House." He explained again.

Darian and Leon shared a slightly terrified glance. "Fine." They agreed grudgingly.

"Excellent!" Dream cheered, hitting his open palm with the bat. "Wash the blood off and I'll come get you." He directed, spinning around and making off in the opposite direction, no doubt to go fuss over his half brother.

"So we both agree to being scared shitless of your baby brother?" Leon muttered, watching Dream practically skip away happily like a child.

"Absolutely."
