To get her to go, he was willing to use his own grandson.
"I know," Qiao Qing was expressionless, "If I have the time, I will go."
Then, she lifted her foot and left.
Ye Fan cleaned up the pieces and planned on going back to class.
But on his way back to the classroom, he ran into Jiang Yi.
When Jiang Yi saw Ye Fan, he greeted warmly, "Where did you go? Why are you coming from that way?"
The Ye family and the Luo family were both renowned in the City of Brisk for being wealthy and powerful.
However, Jiang Yi had always acted aloof and never respected people like Luo Chen – those who had a good background, a good appearance, and enjoyed wasting their riches. Towards Ye Fan, however, Jiang Yi had always acted respectful.
Whether it was his jealousy-inducing grades, or his Go abilities, everything about him made Jiang Yi exclaim.
Now faced with someone who wasn't Qiao Qing, Ye Fan restored his cold, honor student look. "I went to get advice from someone regarding Go tactic."
Jiang Yi had a look of awe, "You need to find someone to help you with Go?"
Though this statement sounded like a kiss ass statement, that wasn't his intention.
After all, Ye Fan was a famous Go player in the City of Brisk. He was the blood grandson of the Go master, Master Ye. This was a well known fact.
Someone like him had to ask others for advice?
Ye Fan remembered that cold and emotionless young woman and he fell into a daze, "You don't understand the concept that there are mountains beyond mountains, and heavens beyond heavens?"
Jiang Yi was stifled but he wasn't mad, "But you place first at every Go competition. How come I've never heard of someone who is better at Go than you?"
"There are many things you are unaware of," Ye Fan spoke with a poisonous tongue, "Do you even know who was the one that solved the spectacularly tactful positioning of the Go board?"
Jiang Yi's breathing immediately turned hasty, "Wasn't that you?"
Known as the hometown of Go, the City of Brisk was the home of Go tactics and strategies. The set up of the final stages of this one particular Go game was named the Exquisite Unrivaled Positioning.
Ever since the archeologists discovered this Go setup, Go masters from different regions came over every year in order to try and figure out a way to solve the life and death situation.
After several decades, nobody was able to solve it.
Yet three years ago, the next steps of what the best move should be for this particular Go board composition was solved by someone.
Because of this, the City of Brisk became one of the most popular searches on the internet. All the reporters and Go lovers did their best to try and pinpoint the mastermind who resolved the puzzle. However, it was fruitless.
Because there was no real evidence as to who that person was, everyone decided that the person who solved this was the eldest grandson of the Ye family.
Jiang Yi believed that as well.
Ye Fan shook his head upon hearing this, "My Go skills are not even as good as my grandpa's, how could it be me? The person who solved the Exquisite Unrivaled Positioning had a level of skill that even my grandpa cannot compare to."
"Who is it then?"
Jiang Yi couldn't help but feel his heart race. The reason why he admired Ye Fan so much was because he mistakenly believed Ye Fan was the one who figured out that board positioning.
Nobody truly understood how much it meant to the Go hobbyists to have that board solved. That person, to those who truly loved Go, was a God-level figure.
Ye Fan stared at Jiang Yi's impatient and fiery expression and couldn't help but roll his eyes on the inside.
Just how would Jiang Yi feel if he found out that the person he admired so much was actually his ex-fiancee, the one he dumped?
"Without her permission, I cannot reveal any information about her."
After leaving behind this statement, Ye Fan walked away.

Ever since Qiao Qing placed number one, her name became more prominent than ever before. No matter where she walked, someone would shout "godly student" at her.
But due to Qiao Nian's intentional hiding, other than He Wanqing, nobody from the Qiao family was aware of this.
In the blink of an eye, it was old man Qiao Zhizhuo's 66th birthday.
The celebration was hosted in the Qiao family manor's backyard.
He Wanqing, as the second eldest daughter-in-law, went to get ready to greet the guests when the Sun was still up.
As for Qiao Qing, she was as per usual, reading her medical books calmly inside the study room.
