Chapter 59 - Tempest Rage, Freezing Gale

The trembling ground had become uneven and huge lumps of mud emitting foul stench covered thousands of metres around them.

From the sky, the ground looked like the back of a huge toad with ugly warts on its back.

"Foul Warts!"

The man who sat on the ground mumbled and violently slapped the ground.

It caused warts to burst apart and released a foul brown gas.

The brown gas took the form of a 200 metres long toad and burped.

The forest surrounding the area started to melt and a few beasts let out crazed howls as their flesh and blood rotted within seconds.

Only beasts and insects that were sufficiently poisonous, survived its wrath.

"How can a mere toad compare to a Great Roc? Second style, Tempest Rage!"

Lifting his right wing, he waved it towards the land.

It caused the swamp to boil. The land started to dry up and release scorching hot gases.

It was so hot in fact that the moment it touched the toad, it caught fire.

Under its pained shrieks, the toad started to burn with a crimson flame which caused the boiling earth to dry up and crack at an even faster pace.

The man who released the spell, felt as if every breath that he took was burning his lungs.

Eyes bloodshot, he rolled on the ground while violently coughing like an old man.

The middle-aged woman looked at all of this with a detached look.

Before Tianlong could grasp the basics of this art, the swarm of hundreds of thousands of insects arrived in front of them.

They took the form of a massive palm. Each of its five fingers was differently coloured and contained a different kind of poison.

As it grasped towards them, the air was filled with a buzzing sound and that would've burst the eardrums of anyone not sealing their ears.

"Too noisy! The third style, Freezing Gale!"

Raising his left wing, he waved towards the sky.

It caused the wind to become cold, bone-chillingly cold.

The surroundings started to freeze up, the incoming palm was no exception.

The five fingers which contained the most vicious poison were the first to freeze. The insects buzzed and tried to fly away but before they could go far, they were already frozen.

The five fingers turned into five frozen pillars that fell from the sky and sunk in the semi-solid ground.

Due to the poison, the area around them made a sizzling sound and started to melt.

Next to freeze was the palm. As the insects lost their flight, the palm became nothing more than a frozen block.

It fell on top of the five fingers and caused them to shatter. All the colourful insects and worms scattered like beautiful marbles.

As for the man who summoned the swarm of insects, he felt his blood starting to freeze up. With every passing second, his heartbeat got slower and slower.

His skin turned a shade of blue as he clutched his neck and fell unconscious.

By now, there was only fear in the eyes of the last man.

While had witnessed some of Yun Dingxing's might when the man came to extort them decades ago, he had fought them mostly with his physical strength while rarely using any spells.

Even then they couldn't withstand a single strike of his.

Only their mistress was qualified to exchange blows with him.

However, it was still within acceptable bounds as Yun Dingxing was a body refiner.

His fleshly body was his greatest weapon.

Though the strength it possessed was a little too much.

But his most horrifying thing about him wasn't his fleshly body, but his ability to manipulate space.

The man could restrict others from moving, teleport at ridiculous distances and could move at speeds that shouldn't be possible with his cultivation base!

While Nascent Soul cultivators could teleport a short distance, it was a five-element escape that didn't involve spatial laws.

The laws of space were difficult to grasp. Even among immortals, only a few could understand them, so how could mere Nascent Soul cultivators understand them!

For Yun Dingxing to grasp spatial laws in just the Soul Convergence realm, it could only mean that either he encountered a great fortune or he had a natural talent for it.

If it was the latter, one could only sigh in envy at his talent.

But if it was the former, countless old monsters would try to hunt him night and day.

There wasn't a single person who wouldn't want to learn the principles of space and time!

Fortunately for Yun Dingxing, his unique status allowed him to move unhindered in Desolate Mountain World.

Very few would dare to cross him, much less scheme against him!

With his status, he could move around without any worries.

While those in rank 3 or lower countries might not recognize him, he was extremely famous in rank 4 and rank 5 countries.

Not only was he ridiculously strong, but his cultivation speed was also something very could compare!

In his younger days, he was completely unrestrained. The number of women he had relationships with numbered no less than a hundred!

Each of them being chosen of sects, sacred daughters or princesses!

Not only was he a Casanova, but he was also an unreasonable bandit!

The number of organizations he had extorted was uncountable.

Many of the righteous sects were dissatisfied with him.

However, with his status, there was nothing they could do.

The highest rank a country could achieve was six. It was when a cultivator managed to reach the Spiritual Fusion realm cultivation base.

It was a common stage for Qi, Body or Soul refiners.

After this was the final stage of mortal cultivation – Heaven's Desolation.

But if one managed to reach that stage, they couldn't stay in their country anymore and had to leave for Holy Suzaku.

Being the only rank-seven country, Suzaku had bigger responsibilities. It wouldn't meddle in the affairs of the Yun Dingxing.

So being just rank four countries, how could they dare to offend a rank-six country without any backing?

They could only blame their bad luck.

Not only did Yun Dingxing possess an extreme physical strength, but he also possesses an arsenal of Divine abilities and Daoist spells that could destroy Nascent Soul realm cultivators with ease.

How was someone supposed to fight him?

"Hundred-Poisons!"

Gritting his teeth, the last man roared towards the sky and released a multi-coloured brilliance.

After absorbing the brilliance, the pills divided themselves into a total of 100 different pills.

As they floated in the air, an illusionary outline of a man surrounded the pills.

Each of his blood veins and meridians was visible.

Each of the pills started to rotate inside the figure and started to align with the acupoints one by one.

As more and more acupoints got filled up, the face of the illusionary became more and more distinct. It was seven points similar to Yun Dingxing!

"A curse?"

Even if the bizarre attack wasn't directed at him, Tianlong could feel an extreme sense of danger coming from the virtual meridians.

Once he focused on the glowing acupoints, he could sense that the acupoints were emitting the power of five elements. When he noticed how they were positioned, he seemed to understand something.

It bought back memories of one of the many internal energy flow diagrams he had created during his research.

Looking at how the 100 poison pills aligned, he got sudden enlightenment regarding the internal alchemy of humans.

Their position, the element associated, the way they interconnected, all of this deepened his understanding.

"Here I'm teaching him Wind Genesis and he dares to get fascinated with a poison sutra? Hmph!"

Yun Dingxing inwardly grumbled but didn't break his son's concentration.

Epiphanies were extremely rare.

There was no way he would let him miss this chance.

Tearing apart space, his claws reached where the caster of the magic was seated.

"Jiang Ye Zi, save me!!"

Before the man could evade it, the claw had already reached his neck. Under his pitiful screams, his cultivation base was sealed and he was thrown away.

The middle-aged woman was indifferent to all of this.

Instead, her eyes were looking upwards with a sharp gaze. It wasn't Yun Dingxing she was observing but the small figure on his back.

Even though she couldn't see Tianlong due to Yun Dingxing's interference, she could feel a presence similar to Hundred-Poison Sutra coming from it.

Yun Dingxing noticed her gaze but didn't block it.

He hovered in mid-air and let Tianlong observe the meridian pathway transform under poison pills.

Due to the bizarre nature of the spell, it didn't stop even after the caster was sealed. At most, it slowed down.

The place was suddenly filled with stillness.

The middle-aged woman understood what was happening but she didn't mind it.

Her sharp senses were focused on Tianlong who was revolving his spiritual energy in a unique way that was three points similar to Hundred-Poison Suta of their sect.

There was a tactic understanding in their inactiveness.

When more than eighty pills had settled themselves, the illusionary figure of Yun Dingxing became almost corporeal.

"Well, that's all the time I can give you. Any more and we won't be able to return before sunrise!

"Fourth Style, Storm Call!"
