A young man wearing royal clothes, dressed for the occasion during a feast, sat down next to a table with another nobleman sat next to him. He brushed his long black hair to the side, tied it into a ponytail, sipping on a glass of wine. His deep green eyes scanned the room, people of different races and ethnicities scattered about. The nobleman next to him, gruff in appearance, hair black as shadows themselves, growled under his breath, "The fucking King keeps inviting more and more people before ya know it the whole god damn kingdom will become fucking overpopulated with filth."
The young man grit his teeth, "Baron..."
"Sorry... homelessness is on a rise and having filthy mongrels scattered about like sheep fucking irritates the hell out of me and all this'll do is make it worse."
"It's better than war, Baron."
"War gives money, war quells overpopulation, what could be o' so bad in war!?"
"Says a man who's never been on the front lines before." The young man's glare sent a shiver down the Baron's spine. The young man sighed, looking back at the crowd, "Nargadaga lands are large, and the larger the country, the easier it is for it to fall if one person taps its card tower the wrong way. It's harder to manage larger armies in a larger land, after all, 90% of this fucking place is but grassland."
The Baron sneered, "I wonder, are the Elves and Dark Elves sitting out this year as well?"
"It wouldn't matter anyway, the main concern for us would be if the Orcs arrived. They cause chaos no matter where they are, no consideration for others whatsoever."
The Baron pressed his lips together, "They aren't that bad, they're welcoming at best but the worst part is that they are an unruly lot, but they're easy to get along with."
The young man sighed, "There is truth in those words..." The young man became flushed as the devil came rolling in after hearing his name. The Orc King, Queen, Princess, and Prince.
The Baron looked at the young man with a raised eyebrow, "What? What's that expression for?"
The young man clicked her tongue, looking away from the group, "It's nothing."
A grin came across the Baron's face, "Oh...?"
"No..."
"You're still in love with that Princess of theirs, aren't you?"
The young man growled, "Strong women are best, Orcs look nothing like the legends after all too... so..."
The Baron laughed, "Right you are! To be honest, I fully expected full-on tusks on the bastards, but nay, only the males."
"The women have tusks too."
"Where?" Baron looks at the Orcs -- The men have tusks and have fair white skin whilst the females are just taller than the typical human - could barely be differentiated if it wasn't for their abnormal strength, height, and pointed ears. The Orc King came in wearing iron and fur head to toe, a long black beard braided down the middle, and a long and thick mane. His wife is a beautiful woman with a scar next to her right eye wearing similar clothes to her husband, lacking the iron, a sword at her hip rather than an axe hidden in leather. The Prince has long and messy black hair, Tusk coming out from his cheek unlike his father's tusk, which both come out from under his bottom lip. The Prince's clothes reflect his father, but, similar to his mother, has a lack of iron armor layered over his leather and fur clothes. The Princess is somewhat different from all of them, rather than wearing winter clothes, wearing clothes similar to that of what an elf would wear, a loose kaftan dress, fur-lined around her collar, the entire dress colored in black with golden embroideries. Earings come off of her pointed ears with gems hanging from golden chains. "Where would their tusks be?"
"They can typically be seen around their hips, just above them I believe, either there, or just below the ribcage. They aren't typically shown to those who are not in a relationship with said Orcs, they only show those tusks to those who they love."
"If they all know where the tusks on a woman are, then-"
"What makes it special is the design."
"Design?"
"Yes, all tusks come out different yes? For women, it's even more so since they also engrave it once they are in their teenage years."
"A lot of effort- Wait!" The Baron whipped his head around to look at the young man, "How do you know all of this?"
The young man looked away from the Baron conspicuously before whipping his head back around to look at the Baron, "Sorry?"
"Are you...? Prince...?"
The young man smiled awkwardly, "I have no idea what you're in-"
"Are you already in a relationship with the Orc Princess?"
"Her Father approves so..."
"By the Gods..." the Baron shook his head with a smile on his face, "Just like the next King of Nargadaga should."
"What?"
"It's best to stake your claim on one who you love as quickly as you can, even if it is not approved by parents and the like."
"Glad I have your approval."
The Baron nodded to the young man, wine glass in hand, "She's a looker after all. Plus, having someone who's just as good as you are at fighting can be quite the positive."
"Well..." The young man took a sip of his wine, "It's what I was looking for in a woman anyway."
Chattering had begun erupting near the door as a group of people began coming in, a small group, but a group nonetheless. A race that looked like human-wasp hybrids, and another race were like human-moth hybrids, Dark Elves and Elves, the wasp-like race being Elves and the moth-like race being Dark Elves. The Baron chuckled, "They actually came?"
"People have been saying that it is never a good occasion when those two arrive due to their... rarity." The Dark Elves wore tribalistic clothing fitting for royalty as the Elves wore golden embroidered thawbs and the like. The Guards for the Dark Elves wore black leather clothing with naval captain cats to boot. The Guards for the Elves didn't wear anything and did not enter - their bodies were abnormal, filled with spikes, black like charcoal. The King entered the room just as they did from the opposite side, a golden crown on his head, a cloth mask connected to it obscuring the King's face. Anyone there could only catch a glimpse of his emerald green eyes. The King immediately shook both of the Elves' hands and went on his way over to a throne placed on the highest point in the room. The young man clicked his tongue, "I have to go."
The Baron nodded to the young man as he left his seat, heading over to another throne sat right next to the King, the backrest being shorter in height compared to the King's. The Prince sat himself down in his chair, head resting on his fist, one leg over the other.
The King let out a deep rumble of a sigh, turning his head over to his son, "Have you heard?"
"Hm?"
The King stopped himself, "Nevermind."
"What is it?"
"The Ash Plains."
"Yeah?"
"They've started their attack on the Elves and the Dark Elves, it's why they're here."
"Why the Dark Elves?"
"Be-"
"I don't believe that... the Dark Elves are Mages and Sorcerers, there is no way that they couldn't handle it themselves. The Elves on the other hand... well, they are less inclined to magic as the Dark Elves are."
"The Dark Elves are here because the Koi are attempting to become Dragons by using the monstrosities within the Ash Plains."
"Dragons?"
"Yes, well. Of course, they all can't become Dragons, but they're planning to make their Chief one."
"Right..."
"Which means they could make even more Dragons by using their royalty as breeding cattle."
"Is this so they can use the Hymns?"
"Most likely, but, that is all I know."
"We could-"
"They aren't looking for full-on assistance, they are too prideful, at least, the Elves are. The Dark Elves made a deal to at least request some semblance of assistance due to the fact that the Elves flat out denied making use of our Sorcerer."
"Annoying bastards."
"What's worse is with the Chimeras, they're fastly approaching on their lands."
"So, Ants will be getting involved as well, aye?"
"Indeed."
A pause came between them.
"Are you still wanting to marry that... woman?"
"Yes..."
The King sighed, "I will not stop you anymore."
The Prince smiled, his body relaxing in his own seat, "Thanks... dad."
The King grunted with a faint nod.
