Right after he spoke, there's a BIP sound in the background since he opened the door.
"I'm heading to your place now, please wait, " Shen Jun spoke again. This time Lai Jiayi could hear the sound of his footsteps colliding against the floor.
'He must have set the phone in the loudspeaker.'

When Shen Jun called her with an intimate name, Lai Jiayi instantly got goosebumps.
But the girl only faked a smile as she spoke, still stuttering like usual, "D-doctor Jun…"

"Here is your father's room. Please go inside through that door." Shen Jun pointed a blurry glass door in front of him.
Lai Jiayi nodded and obediently followed his direction. She stood in front of the glass door, and the door suddenly disappeared into nothingness with a long BIIIP sound.
'Sure enough, technology is great in this room.'
The girl's eyes were glistening as she looked around.
Once Lai Jiayi stepped in, the cool air in the room startled her for a second. The smell of medicine assaulted her nose, and a strange BIP BIP BIP noise kept ringing around.
The sight of a pure white wall and floor looking as clean as the snow somehow made her uncomfortable.

So far, Lai Jiayi only saw various weird-looking machines. She didn't know the function of these machines. Thus, the girl ignored it.
She just scanned her surroundings to find her father and found a monitor, a hologram machine, a medical machine, and so on, but– hasn't seen her father.
'Where is he?' The girl's eyes darted around when Shen Jun suddenly spoke.
"Turn left, your father is behind that glass box," Shen Jun told Lai Jiayi, where to find her father even before she asked.
When she heard the word 'glass box', Lai Jiayi's heart stopped beating for a second.
'What does it mean?'
She couldn't help but think. Still, she didn't say anything.
"T-thanks…" Lai Jiayi thanked the man stiffly as cold sweat began to drench her back. Her body turned cold, and her heart wouldn't stop beating fast.
'What is this? I feel that something is wrong...what glass box...why are there so many machines here?'
Lai Jiayi questioned in her heart, and soon, her question was answered once she arrived in front of her father's bed.
There, she saw a middle-aged man wearing white hospital pajamas laying on a tablet-like machine. His body was kept inside the transparent capsule, allowing others to see him.
Not far from the capsule was a glass wall surrounding the tablet, making it look like a glass box, a giant one that reached all the way to the ceiling.
Next to the glass box were various high-technology machines, and the BIP BIP sound around it became even louder here.
The noise irked Lai Jiayi, but the sight of various machines attached to her father's body disturbed her even more.
'This….what is this? How could it be? Father...father...is…'
