*Baron and Ayumi head back to the Sarlen homeland while everyone else heads out for a day in the town. (Play song At Dusk, I Will Think of You…) Meanwhile, at the very top of a building overlooking a nearby city, Sonjo sits overlooking said city. He fiddles with the chocolate bar he had bought earlier, too lost in thought to remember to eat it. He completely loses himself in his surroundings, until a familiar voice pulls him back.*
Sonjo: Skia'... I wish I would've done more for you. Yet here we are…
Skia': Isn't it time you gave up on that line of thinking?
Sonjo: ?
Skia': I thought I made it clear that you should give it up, Sonjo.
Sonjo: What do you want?!
Skia': Relax, I'm not looking to fight. *She takes half of the chocolate out of his hand*
Sonjo: H-hey!
Skia': You weren't eating it anyway. Why'd you buy it anyway? You've never been a fan of chocolate.
Sonjo: Hey, I don't go around questioning you about your taste! I felt like it, okay?
Skia': Hmph, time has certainly changed you Sonjo. You're losing your edge. Tell me, how do you expect to save me when you can't control your emotions? You wouldn't want to short circuit at a most crucial time.
Sonjo: Why're you here?
Skia': Do you remember Sonjo? Back when the four of us were friends, you used to always try and show off how "cool" you were. Hoping that someone would recognize and be impressed by you.
Sonjo: Yeah…
Skia': And despite how embarrassing it was for you, you kept going even when falling flat on your face.
Sonjo: For all the good it did! One day, our friendship just evaporated!
Skia': Those sounds like the words of someone who gave up.
Sonjo: I didn't give up… I just stopped trying as hard for other people.
Skia': Your plan to get back at the world?
Sonjo: Well it didn't work! One moment I'm trying to impress someone very important to me, the next they're gone.
Skia': Face it Sonjo. Your past problems are still as present as ever. You just aren't able to put the past behind you, and let go of what was, accept what is.
Sonjo: I just wanna be able to help everyone.
Skia': So, you still desire something that you cannot have. It's no wonder you still think you can save me…
Sonjo: Just you wait! Tomorrow I'll show everyone, and then I'm gonna save you!
Skia': For your life, you'd better.
(Stop playing the song) *She disappears with the shadows, leaving Sonjo alone at the top of the building. Sonjo continues to sit there, thinking about the conversation he just had.* (Meanwhile, Master Tazz and Khan are off training.)
Master Tazz: Alright, that's enough Khan. We don't want to overdo it.
Khan: Okay.
Master Tazz: Khan, allow me a question. You've spent so much time and energy fighting in this war. When the war is over, what will you do?
Khan: Hm. When I first heard that question, I couldn't really give an honest or full answer.
Master Tazz: And now?
Khan: Now I'm still not sure. I'm ready to lay my life on the line if it means the war ends. But if we do win, and I'm still alive, perhaps I'll change my life entirely. I'll pick up a much slower lifestyle, I've had enough action to last me a lifetime.
Master Tazz: I can't exactly imagine you living a slow life.
Khan: Well, if we all make it out of this war alive, you won't have to imagine it. It'll be something everyone sees with their own eyes.
Master Tazz: And what about your friendships? Will you try to repair the rifts that have been caused?
Khan: I don't know if Skia' and I can be friends again. I mean, how can I be friends with someone who tried to kill me? This isn't some fairy tale or anime where that shit happens all the time, this is the real world.
Master Tazz: That it is…
Khan: I imagine Sonjo and Jin will still be my friends for a very long time. I guess war has a way of bringing people together. But what about you? Do you have any plans for after the war is over?
Master Tazz: I have only one plan, and that is to restore peace to the world by any means necessary.
Khan: But what about afterwards?
Master Tazz: There may not be an afterwards for me after the war.
Khan: How cryptic…
Master Tazz: Khan, I need you to listen to what I'm about to say.
Khan: Okay…
Master Tazz: When you go back to the Blitzwing, I need you to tell them that I won't be joining them when they depart, at least for a while.
Khan: What? Why?
Master Tazz: There's something that I need to do, alone. It requires me to be in complete solitude in order for it to work.
Khan: Yeah, that sounds very suspicious, I'm gonna be honest.
Master Tazz: As your senior, I ask that you trust me, and allow me this one favor.
Khan: *Bursts out with laughter* Okay okay, I get it.
Master Tazz: Get what?
Khan: Despite my demeanor and how it may seem, I'm very capable of respecting my elders.
Master Tazz: But I-
Khan: Don't worry, I'll cover for you this time. But in exchange… When you complete your mission, you must show me the result of all your effort. *He sticks out his hand for a fist bump*
Master Tazz: *Smiles, and gives a fist bump back* Sure.
Khan: Later then. I look forward to seeing what "The World's Undefeated" discovers.
