In the world of 29876 TR or as the local called it Xena there are beast who can become strong by there genetics and have a power rivalling that of 5th order refiner and cannot go any further but there are a group of beasts that have surpassed this limit and have evolved to gain elemental power these are called evolved beasts. There of springs does not have to reach 5th order to use elemental power as it is in there genes as after 5th order a beast changes genetically. Evolved beasts are a rare sight near a settlement as they do not like to contact humans but out in the wild, they are many that is why many hunters specially traverse the dangerous wild as their children make good pets for the nobles and their children. It was mentioned by a great researcher that the higher a beast evolves more intelligent it becomes and there might be an entire empire of beasts deep in the Jungle, but no one knows as there has no one that has been able to cross the jungle completely.
"An evolved beast, do you want a pet Robert" his father asked. Robert replied, "No I want the meat of evolved beast as they are potent and might help with my hunger issue and now that I have become 1st order refiner, I will be able to completely absorb the energy"." Hmm, not a bad idea I will see to it that you get the best beast there is for you" his father replied.
"Now son meet me at my study after breakfast I am going to teach you about the later stages of refining" saying this he resumed eating his food. Robert was also excited because every time he asked what was beyond 1st stage his father would always say he will tell him after he reaches the first order and now that he had finally reached it, he was very excited to know the further path.
After breakfast he finally reached his father's study room and knocked, he heard a positive reply and entered his father saw that it was Robert and told him to take a chair and sit next to him. He started by asking," Robert do you know the difference between a refiner and a mystic ". Robert thought for a bit and replied" Mystic train their mind whereas Refiner train their body". His father nodded and said" Yes, it is one of the main difference but there is also another key difference". Robert was confused what more of a difference is there. His father seeing his confusion replied" There is a type of energy in this world that helps both the refiner and the mystic. The usage of this energy is the main difference between a mystic and a refiner. A refiner uses this energy as a polishing agent which helps strengthen the body whereas the mystic uses this energy as a catalyst to use elemental energy and this energy is called Mana".
Robert was surprised by all the details poured down onto him but what surprised him the most was the energy named 'Mana' as it was a term used in his previous world. He asked his father "Who named this energy 'Mana'?". His father replied "Ah an excellent question you really are as insightful as your Mother. During the dark times only, a selected few were able to use inhuman capabilities and these humans used a special energy called the world breath. They were treated as gods. But one day an individual came that was able to use inhuman capabilities and he told the people so can they as there was a lesser form of energy that he has found and he named it 'Mana' he told though it is not as powerful as world breath but a number of people can use this energy and that was the man that came to be known as 'The Sage' .He was also responsible for most of the innovation you see today and he started the tradition of checking the talent of every child no matter there heritage and background and the current ruler of the Empire are his descendent".
This filled a lot of gap for him as he always wondered why the architectural structure and household commodities that were similar to earth but he never truly paid attention to these details as he had an unbearable hunger from a Young age.
"Now I will tell you How to advance to second stage for that first gather mana in Your chest then make it form a ball and put it near your heart once you have made a stable ball you would have advanced to the 3rd order" his father explained.
"Now go and practise you will go to beast market in the afternoon with the butler so practise hard" his father told him.
