Kyra turned away blushing when the man in black kissed Maya on her forehead. But if she'd kept staring, she would've perhaps noticed a blood-red light flash briefly behind the man's eyelids for a split second and enter into Maya's forehead.
Nisa who noticed his actions softened her glare and had a somewhat grateful expression on her face.
"Here", the man handed Maya back into Kyra's arms and said with a sigh," The little one should be awake soon in no time."
Kyra took Maya into her arms and laid the little one's head over her right shoulder. But then, right after, once more, she found a familiar shadow slowly close in and hold her at the waist for the second time today.
Kyra found herself stiffening up once more, and with Maya sleeping in her arms, she couldn't move back immediately since she didn't wish to wake her up.
