"Yuri, grab me the reward scroll, if you will?" Inari looked to her left, speaking to a figure that had sat there all along.
"Your wish is my command, madam." A tall, purple hair man quickly stood up and left the room, wearing but a checkered kimono.
"So, Inari-San, I learned you were but few of the gods hosting two titles?" He asked her, reaching for the teapot, though he struggled as it was in the middle of the table.
"Hmm, a rare occurrence in which a god dominates two titles, is chosen by two, or is whished into two halves." She tried to explain it in the most simple terms. She got onto her knees, and grabbed the teapot for him, arching forward, she poured him a fresh one. "Here." She smiled at him.
"Oh, I see. So how did you obtain your titles then?" He asked, watching her put back the teapot.
"I was wished as an agriculture deity, but I dominated the founding God when I found my passion for swordsmithing. Due to his name lessening in the human population, he thoroughly ceased existence." She told him how she came to be a god of two titles. He was shocked, though he understood that competition was a natural way.
"I see. Then why hasn't another deity dominated me?" He asked her the question that had popped into his head.
"I... Don't..."
Silence fell for a second as the two stared at one another.
"Know..." She finally completed her sentence.
Slide!
"Milady, I have brought the items. May I enter?" Yuri got on his knees, holding the scroll with both his hands.
"You may, Yuri." She turned her still expression toward him, allowing him to enter the room and hand her the two scrolls. Yuri, beside her and on his knees, bowed his head, slowly crawled back a bit, and sat down.
"Hakai God, I will not allow you to leave until sunrise. I will probably have a room ready for you in a moment, but do please check out these items and read over the manual of ranks sent over by Heaven." She slightly bowed, handing Hakai the scrolls with her hands over the table.
"Inari-San, your kindness will not go unnoticed. I will cherish these and this moment with you." He accepted both scrolls with the biggest smile. His face, his long eyelashes sparking while his eyes closed, his soft yet harsh hands touching the top of hers, she blushed and quickly drew away from her hands as he took the scrolls and placed them by his side.
"So cute!" She screamed into her heart.
"Ahem!" She coughed before trying to address him with formality and confidence.
"Yer welcome; now ya don't go and play with mi heart." She let out her countryside self, a side she vowed herself and her people to never present to any visitor.
Hakai was shocked, though he didn't have any judgmental opinions.
"Pfft!" Hakai let out a soft chuckle, trying to silence it with his fingers.
"I knew that you had to have a country dialect." He told her, still trying not to laugh.
"Laugh all yer want. Y'all gods are the same. The moment you glimpse my real self and tongue, yer quick to laugh and judge!" She snapped, upset. "I ain't a dog, I ain't gonna bite none of y'all, yet, all ya gods keep away from me!"
Hakai gasped, eyes a bit wide. He had sweat running down his face. He felt guilty, though he genuinely had no bad intentions.
"Haaa!" Hakai took a deep break in, crossing his legs under the table.
"Inari-San, I didn't mean to offend you. I'm sorry!"
"Your dialect and way of living are a wonderful aspect of you and your people. I like it." He smiled, softly thrusting himself back and forth.
"Ya is sure to snap and play with mi heartstrings!" She shouted at him bluntly, blushing.
"Ahem, well, Hakai god, it is late now. I shall head to bed." She got up she turned around to leave. Hakai stopped her for one last word.
"Inari-San, please be yourself around me. It's cute." He smiled, again playing with her heartstrings as she would say.
"Haa!" Inari gasped. She placed her forearm in front of herself, trying to hide her red hot face.
"Well, yer a playa, ain't ya? I'm going to bed. Goodnight, Hakai Kami!" She ran out of the room, and so did Yuri, leaving Hakai alone.
Soon after Inari and Yuri left the room, a male servant slid the door open and gestured for Hakai to follow.
"Hmm." Hakai scuffed, standing up and following the man down the hall.
"This will be your room, sir." He slid the door open for Hakai, gesturing for him to enter with a slight bow.
"Thank you!" Hakai walked in, hands full with the two scrolls.
