Chapter 50 - Chapter 48: War in a Minor Burst of Rage

"Teleport me back, now!" He shouted at the Angelic desk noblewoman with anger in his voice.

"Yes." She responded, looking around the room with fear. "If he keeps it up, this room will surely crumble to dust." She held her ear in the commotion of Hachiman's rage, and he vanished.

Wham!

Back in the main hall, he could only scream in anger.

"Heavens? Lick my ass!" He shouted into the open, catching Miko's attention. The room filled with horrific pressure. It was as if a tornado had risen out of nowhere, and Hachiman was the eye of it. The massive wind and pressure blew away anything near him.

"Lord Hachiman?" She turned around, making a run toward him. "Please-" A decent-sized flying branch hurtled at her, aimed at her face. She luckily put her elbow up in the nick of time. Then, letting go of her bags, she managed to stand up against the guard's wishes.

"Please stay down!" One of the guards shouted, protecting himself behind the entrance. While the two remained behind the wall, they were in contact throughout the heavens, trying to find a way to deal with the present threat, Hachiman.

"My humble lord. I am nothing but a worthless servant of yours." Miko walked over to Hachiman, holding her injured elbow while her face bled from the impact of her wrist above her eyebrow. "Lord Hachiman, I will lay down my life for you." She uttered in sheer pain while getting closer to the pushed-over-the-edge Hachiman.

Pat!

She stood in front of him, holding his right shoulder with her left hand.

"Huh?" He looked up at Miko's face. "Miko?" He uttered as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "I'm sorry I hurt you." She slowly got on her knees, unwrapping his arms around her waist.

"nuh-uh, it's okay." She said, directly looking him into his eyes. "I take that something's happened to Haki-Kun?" She assessed, as he rarely was pushed to tap into his rage. However, Hachiman didn't answer her. Instead, he only looked her in the eyes with shimmering tears in his eyelashes.

"Is he okay? What happened? Please, help him." She begged Hachiman before the pain of her injury knocked her unconscious.

"Miko?" Hachiman worried, holding her unconscious body. "No, no. I need to find a healer." He said to himself as he stood up with her in his arms. "Oi, guards! Get me a healer!" He shouted at the two frantic holy guards.

Yet, they said nothing. Scared, they could only watch Hachiman yell at them.

"Hey, you two. Are you deaf? Now!" He demanded with an angry expression, sending shivers down their spine. They finally acted on his demands.

"Yes..." The two answered as one held his ear.

"Sir, we are humbly sorry. A healer will be here immediately!" One guard shouted, informing Hachiman while still behind the entrance frame, scared. They tried to keep their distance, as the guards knew they'd die if they were caught in Hachiman's madness again.

"Good," Hachiman uttered as a body flicker appeared behind him. Then, sensing its presence, he turned around and faced the figure.

Wham!

A two-pair winged tall, beautiful blonde female appeared in front of Hachiman. She was wearing modernized medieval-era pink armor.

Her lips stretched in a sassy matter as she introduced herself. "My, my. If it isn't my pleasure to be in the presence of the God of War, Hachiman." She bowed down with one leg in front. "My name is Mia. What can be of assistance?" She looked up to Haachiman with her glimmering green eyes.

"My servant has been injured. Tend to her wounds, and update me constantly about her conditions." He said, handing the injured Miko over to the knight.

"My pleasure." She smiled while carrying Miko.

Sheen!

"Hachiman of War, we have learned of your actions." the one voice of all spoke with a bit of anger. "Once you finish with your ordeal. You will face the consequences.." The unified voice informed Hachiman of his punishment.

Wham!

His body flickered before disappearing into thin air.

Wham!

The healer disappeared shortly after watching Hachiman leave.

"Miss Mia, what is her condition?" She appeared before a lady wearing a nun-like uniform.

"Lord Hachiman didn't tell me, but I can see an elbow wound. Look, it's deep." She showed the nun Miko's elbow wound before walking into a hospital-like room.

"Okay. Place her on the bed, please." The nurse rushed over to a massive sliver cabinet.

"A gash on her forehead above her eyebrow." She informed the nurse.

"Oh, well, do you want me to place her on some meds after you finish?" She asked the healing knight as glowing golden energy released above Miko's wound from her hand.

"Please do." She answered the nun as she continued.

"Hakai... Miko! Please be well!" Hachiman, back on earth, raced through most of Tokyo's nearby parks to his shrine. "I will be there for both of you." He said as he zoomed past a building. He remained afloat in the street as he looked down at the population. "I know these sessions use a heavy amount of positive energy, which takes a toll." He said to himself, flying up into the dark sky. "He must be unconscious, somewhere in the same place they threw him."

"Hakai! I'm coming!" He placed his arms by his mouth, amplifying his voice, shouting into the open sky.

"Huh?" Mai rose out of her pillow with a drolly face. "What's going on?" She said, walking up to her window. She opened it and looked outside into the sky. "Who's screaming this late at night?" She rubbed her eyes while closing the window.

Rolling back into her sheets, she placed her blanket over her mouth. Blushing, she thought. "I wish it was Hakai..." Mai wished in her heart while ducking into her sheets from embarrassment.

"Why's my heart throbbing? Why do I care if it's him, anyway?" She said to her while making a cute flustered face.

"Do I like him...?" She asked herself as she rolled around her bed. "Ehh!" She shouted in frustration.
