Gilbert heard the footsteps and quickly pushed his body from the stone bed. It fell on the ground but he bit his lips rather than letting out a moan.
Meanwhile, Adam recovered control over his body completely. He could feel the presence of his strong legs and the forelimbs, though they were damaged beyond repair in a normal sense.
But because of the healing artefact, it was returning to normal at an astonishing rate.
Yet, there was one problem.
'The Mana is insufficient.'
Adam's reserve of 40 Mana was enough to heal the neck and to repair the bones to a certain extent, but the artefact lost its illumination after the Mana was sapped dry. Adam immediately felt this and removed the artefact from his face before the chattering individuals stepped into the chamber.
