Upon catching the glimpse of Adam staring at him, he quickly turned around and avoided eye contact. "Eh... hello, good morning uh... Adam."
Adam's brows knit as he paced to the man. "What happened?"
Although Adam is in no way related to this man, he felt the need of probing the reason. But he didn't force his way in.
"Ah... I- I fell from the stairs." Clearly, that man wasn't proficient in lying.
Adam looked around. "I don't see any stairs here."
"Not here, inside the inn." The reply was quick.
The earthling had an urge to chuckle as he scanned the inn. "Inside this inn? This single-storey inn, you say?"
The old man was stunned by the cross-questioning and his face expressed displease. Noticing the change, Adam changed the topic. "I'll be staying here for one more day. How much silver will it be?"
