Adam stood there for a few minutes unmoving, yet the bird didn't even flinch.
Not only the bird, but the branch and its leaves were petrified.

Adam instantly leapt down and dashed along the treeline. He didn't bother to wake the trio and enquire about the barrier. Thus his legs were relentless as they carried him at an astonishing speed.
But he didn't let the curiosity overtake his heart as he periodically stopped and checked for any signature of life in the vicinity.
To his surprise, he found the presence of mortals but not a single insect was around the grassland.
Due to the possibility of radar mechanisms or detection artefacts, Adam didn't gamble and took a larger arc as he traversed.
Night came by and the fireball rose up in the sky, and it was the second day. But Adam was yet to reach the place.
