Tombstones!?
No... it's a bit different.
Adam quickly felt a familiarity with the size and shape of the construct but upon a closer inspection, he discerned that they're different.

Letting off a high-frequency vibration into the air, the three plaques rose further into the air. Soon, they came to a stop. There was much wailing and crying as the stone tablets levitated away from the ground. The auditory sensations were unintelligible by the tide of the voice of many.
But Adam heard one particular voice saying, "Oh God, please do not depart from us!"
The lamentation caught his attention as he stared at the tablets. The next second, they turned to face different directions before slowly moving away from each other. At a slow and safe pace, they drifted away as the earthling suddenly felt something in his heart.
But by the time he had risen onto his feet, the stones have picked up the pace and was already at the horizon.
