Unbeknownst to all, the dull noise that went off with the small cloud of smoke was only a prelude to something soaked in blood.
The shadow of the avian appeared again and Adam rushed to the girl.
"I'm borrowing your lance," he said as he slid past the female while his hands snatched the weapon from her grasp.
The Banshee Falcon that chased Adam was startled by the earthling's action and retreated to higher grounds.
"AAAHHHHHH!"
Another violent and painful scream resonated in the air and the gallery showered with applauses. But unlike them, Adam and the students were petrified as they saw an adventurer's upper torso disappearing into the Giant Snow Lynx's stomach.
"Bastard, what did you do!?"
A dwarf was rushing at the earthling with his axe and the latter was clueless. He could only sidestep and evade the strikes as he probed, "What the hell did I do?"
