Adam almost lost balance as he leapt up.
What the heck was that!?
His brows knit intensely.
That screech... not even an owl could produce such insane noise!
But his focus was distracted when the beasts satisfying themselves with the puddle of blood whined and stepped back in fear. The magnitude of horror was evident on their faces.
The next second, the carnivores that ferociously fought for the wolf corpses retreated and fled in the direction opposite to the screeching noise!
Watching this scene, Adam unconsciously raised his head and stared ahead.
"What sort of abomination is hiding in the forest?"
His heart rate had picked up the pace but he wasn't bothered by it.
Adam quickly crouched and cautiously surveyed the vicinity when vigorous wing flaps rose from a distance. The auditory sensation didn't felt normal to him. It was as if... a prey was escaping from the grasp of a predator.
