Part III
"Yvyet!" Our Godmother Zephoné called out to her daughter, never sheathing her blade from my bio-bred mother, "Make the announcement." She demanded, finally withdrawing her sword.
As The God Authority made her way back to her apostles, my mother's glare was repeatedly stabbing her in the back.
"Yes, Madame." Yvyet responded in deference to her Fray Tutor. The four eyed Proxy pressed a few buttons on the camera before proceeding to her mother's side with the transparent clipboard in hand. "Good night, Family!" Yvyet greeted the occupants of the church with an echoing voice.
"And good night to you!" They responded in sync.
"We are gathered here for two reasons," Yvyet began to recite from her clipboard with flawless professionalism, "By the new bliss graced to Our God Authority, Our Godmother, Yzylophelvini Arterton. Also, to celebrate the rise in The Law's Maturity with the coronation of Our Prodigal Sibling, Asha Exodia. As much of a blessing as this moment may be, it is also the given opportunity to display the range one's growth and the pride of said family's lineage. Both prodigal and biological. Please salute him, now sixteen to this very day, as he announces his chosen path toward the supremacy of The Grand Authority. Asha! In the representing judgement of our governing bodies, please share the path you wish to pursue within the divinity of The Ragnarok Law Mafia."
Everyone in the room, including the GIMPs, Yvyet, my bio-bred mother and Our Godmother Zephoné placed the side of their right fists over their hearts.
This is the gesture I've searched for my entire life, from realizing the influence of The Law and understanding my mother's historic rise. I am now standing in one of six Top Floors, six Rapture Circumferences. I am being witnessed with marveling expectations, not just from many members of Our Prodigal Family, but also my biological and Godmother. Emotions, confidence and the evolving energy of my coronation became my everything in this glorious moment. Tears began to build at the corner of my eyes as I spoke my rhetoric.
"Good night, Family." I greeted, unable to hide the stuttering in my vibrato.
"And good night to you!" They returned in harmony.
"I thank you deeply for attending and witnessing my coronation to The Law's Maturity, as well as my growth to this point from infancy. Our Family has given me the dignity to gain the many powers The Law holds within this unloyal world and it's shackling faiths. Time and time again, the many members of Our Family, even as far as a variety of The Grand Authority has spoken of the natural potential that is so easily spotted during my Development Ages. I, as I breathe, will not taint that potential's passion or embellish those with the minds to foresight my primed future.
Now, as I take hold of this legendary weapon, The Ragnarok Steel, Shango's Eater, I will do away with any being that looks to disgrace or dishonor the prestige of The Ragnarok Law Mafia. On this day, I demonstrate not only my undying loyalty to The Law, but all the unyielding statement and willpower. Beginning down my long road to becoming..."
Before revealing my future, I pulled The Ragnarok Steel from it's concrete sheath. With a little pageantry, I twirled the ax in front of me.
Slamming the tip of Shango's Eater's long handle onto the glyphed slab, all of Our Family present placed their fists over their hearts once more.
With steel in my dominant hand, tears in my metallic eyes and all the confidence given to me, I announced my destiny.
"The Red Joker!"
There were soft mutters from all around. A shocked look was painted on a few subordinates, Yvyet's expression and even my mother's visage became noticeably distorted. A dedicated smile, however, was drawn on to the neon black lips of Our Godmother Zephoné.
The four eyed Proxy cleared her before continuing the procedure.
"Silence, please." She demanded, hushing the curious murmurs and gossiping whispers. "Asha Exodia, is your decision final?" Yvyet asked with professionalism.
"It is!" I responded with greater conviction, the tears bouncing off my cheek when I slammed down the ax's handle again. "I will move on this path to the highest pedestal available. Then, beyond the pinnacles that dare to stand above us. I believe in myself to accomplish this, not only for my own history and my esteemed mother, but also for the heights of our entire kingdom to behold."
"...Um... Argh!" Yvyet stuttered, seemingly taking aback by my declaration, causing a reaction from her mother for her break in professionalism. Even with a new born in her tender clutches and reaching closely to the Experience Ages, the swing of her back hand was incredibly swift against her daughter's face.
The bruise became obvious immediately, but the four eyed Proxy returned to an erect posture. She licked the trickle of blood off her neon black lipstick and swallowed it, absorbing the punishment and returning to a professional form.
The God Authority didn't speak a word to her first born bio-breed, but her expression lashed at Yvyet a thousand times.
"I apologize to you, my mother, my brother, Asha and Our Family." The Fray Proxy bowed to each party respectively, bowing twice to Our Godmother Zephoné for the sake of her sibling.
"Your apology is accepted." The God Authority replied, tending to her fussing offspring with angel like energy.
"With the decision of The Red Joker from Our Prodigal Brother, is there any objections by the governing bodies from The Grand Authority?" Yvyet asked from her clipboard.
The only governing bodies present were my mother, Aaja, and Our Godmother Zephoné. Although, one holds the divinity of all.
My mother remained seated throughout the entire proceeding, never rising to her feet for any aspect of my coronation. Not during Yvyet's announcements, not during Our Godmother Zephoné's entrance and not even during my declaring speech.
It wasn't until objections were called for did the former GIMP rise to the full structure of her intuition.
But....
"No, my Proxy. As the zenith of The Grand Authority, I bestow my powers to denounce any logic of objection. And that is my FINAL JUDGEMENT!" Our Godmother Zephoné declared, placing her right palm over her heart and raising it into the air. This, by the decree of Our Grand Authority and the will of Our God Authority, is a gavel slamming down to punctuate a unchangeable verdict.
"I have objections and they will be heard!!!" My mother shouted in frustration, her thundering base in her voice bounced off the round walls. Her fist dropped on the wood in front of her, the sound of the collision could be heard splitting the oak.
To go against the absolute order from Our God Authority is to go against The Law in full. It didn't matter if your were family, friend, foe or affiliate.
The four GIMPs escorting Our Godmother, the four eyed Fray Proxy and even the former GIMP's subordinates took aim at her with every weapon they possessed.
"Please withdraw, Madame Aaja. Our Godmother Zephoné's authority is final, only second to The Proverb. Any further blasphemy will incite punishment that could be as severe as death." Yvyet warned her superior, aiming a black .44 snub-nose she removed from her suit jacket.
My mother didn't budge, cold and unfazed to the many lasers trained on her body.
The many sounds of hammers being cocked was harmonious in a sense, all reacting in the same manner at the same time.
