"Stay with her," Nimaro told Baas as he set Mae on the floor. "I will return in few minutes."
"Where are you going?" Mae questioned, but it was obvious when he set his hand to the wall.
"Rest, and do not worry."
She nodded and watched as Nimaro slipped through the portal, the black pendant dropping to the floor once it closed.
"So, that's how that works," Baas muttered as he retrieved the necklace for her. "Any idea what he's up to?"
"None. All we can do is wait and see. Help me back to my room so I can rest."
Baas helped her to her feet and walked her to the room she had used previous. She welcomed the bed and crawled onto it, wrapping herself up in the other blanket as well.
"Do you want me to stay with you?"
"No, but if you don't, he'll be upset. Climb in."
"Funny, this reminds me of something…" Baas remarked, grinning as he stepped over her before laying down.
