The press conference ran smoothly without any unwanted interruptions though Ezekiel had a tiny expectation from Karl to take action in response to his authority being questioned.
It didn't happen - which was a good thing, of course, though he did not have much hope in the first place. It just proved his point that Irene would be the better head for the company because he knew that if her authority would've been questioned, she'd have responded immediately.
And that was goddamn attractive.
"What are you thinking?" Irene snapped her fingers in front of him and he blinked back to the beautiful woman sitting beside him.
