Chapter 4 - This Room Is Yours

"How about it, Alexa? The amount you receive is lesser than the average prostitute. Do you still want to work here, or do you want to go back to Mrs Ruth?" And she can raise her rate as a prostitute, then live in luxury as someone's mistress. That's not a bad way of life if what you're looking for is wealth.

Skylar knew what she would choose. Hos judgment will not be wrong.

And he looked at Alexa, who answered with a panic expression, "No — no! I… I don't want to go back there. A thousand pounds is more than enough."

Of course, it's more than enough. In her lifetime, the most money that Alexa can make is 200 pounds. In comparison to a thousand pounds, she could buy whatever she wanted. Moreover, with other facilities here, such as staying in luxury hotels and getting free food every day, a thousand pounds is a huge amount. She had nothing to complain about it at all.

A faint smile appeared on Skylar's face. He expected it. He knew that she was very reluctant to work in brothels. Hence, just hearing that answer made him satisfied. Skylar then squeezed the food wrapper in his hand, then stood up from the chair.

"Finish your food, then I'll show you your room."

Alexa, who had not touched her food at all, looked down again and replied softly, "Can I just eat it in the bedroom?"

"Do as you want." Skylar snorted. Without waiting, Skylar threw away the food wrappers and returned the medicine back to its place, then took Alexa's bag on the chair and started walking towards the stairs in front of the elevator.

"Sophie, come."

Skylar walked out of the dining room, turned off the light, carrying Alexa's belongings in his hand. The corridor lights turned on automatically as he walked past, followed by his dog silently. He made sure that Alexa followed him and didn't get left behind while explaining those VVIP room plan. He doesn't want to be disturbed in the morning just because she knew nothing about this place and made a mess instead of doing her job properly.

"The place we sat on earlier is dining room, and as you can see, there's a kitchen is next to it. You can enter the kitchen through this door. Next to the kitchen, this door—" Skylar walked as he pointed to the door leading to the kitchen, then pointing to the door next to the kitchen door, "—this is the laundry room. Use the washing machine here to wash the clothes. You can dry them with the dryer there. You can find laundry soap on the shelf above. There's a small cupboard there, and you'll find a vacuum cleaner, a pile of rags, and all the cleaning tools. "

Skylar continued to walk while providing explanations, like a tour guide giving information and insight to tourists who sightseeing in Buckingham Palace. "This is the elevator, you already know. We're going in with that. The elevator will only take you to the lobby, this floor, and two floors above. You can go downstairs to the lobby, but you won't be able to go up without an access card. If you want to go upstairs, use the stairs. Any questions?"

After passing a narrow corridor, they came to a wide room with a big circular staircase that would lead them to the floor above. Skylar pointed towards the area not far from the elevator, where there were double doors. "That's the entrance, can be accessed from floor 50. Lunch will be delivered at half-past twelve and dinner at seven. Servants will bring food through there. Just open the door if someone rings the bell at these times.

"That's the living room. There's not much there, just access to the balcony. Also, there's a sofa and piano, that's all. Don't forget to close the blinds at night. Oh, and the bookshelves, you can borrow and read those books if you want, Alexa. " Skylar refers to a large room that looks dark while walking towards the stairs. "Technically, you are free to do anything after you are done with your daily work."

He strides upwards. The lights along the corridor turned on automatically when he reached the second floor. Skylar could see his dark living room from where he stood now, but he ignored it and kept walking. There is an elevator at the end of the corridor. They can see another double door to the left, and on the right side, there is a single door. That room would be Alexa's bedroom, but he didn't enter there.

Skylar turned left, opened the double door and enter. The room lights were turned on, showing a living room that was smaller than the room below. He then walked past the small dining table with four chairs, the stairs leading to the third floor, as well as the soft sofa and the wall-mounted television. Underneath the television, there is a glass shelf with his various gaming consoles.

"There, my console," said Skylar briefly, just to remind her not to touch it carelessly. Skylar then pointed to a room with a glass door. "That small room is Sophie's. You can find dog food on the shelf. Just leave the door open."

Skylar then opened the double doors and entered another room. The lights were turned on automatically. They can find a table in the corner and a bookcase, as well as another double door. "This is my study room, although I rarely use it. I am mainly working on the third floor. Behind that door is my bedroom. Tidy it up every day. You can find a closet and bathroom inside. You are free to enter this study room but knock on the door before entering my bedroom. "

He opened the door to his bedroom and turned on the light. His dog followed cheerfully, barking several times softly. Sophie then walked away from him and immediately jumped onto the bed, curled in his usual place. Meanwhile, Skylar turned and looked at Alexa.

"Any questions before I show you your room?"

Alexa, who was looking around with an astonished look, shook her head hurriedly. "No," she replied softly. She still felt in awe of that splendid room. If this hotel room is rented out to guests, how much will it cost for one night?

After confirming that Alexa had no further questions regarding whatever he had just explained, Skylar left her dog on his bed and walked out of the room. He waited for his new servant to follow, then closed the door and headed back through the room they had just walked through a moment ago.

He walked silently, stepping across the room where he is used to playing games and watch television. Skylar then stopped in front of the single door near the elevator, opened the door and entered into a dark room.

Skylar turned on the light that immediately illuminated the room. He found himself standing in another bedroom that was smaller than his. It is much smaller and looks a little cramped. There are two neat double beds as if they had never been touched before. They can find a television attached to the wall and a small shelf underneath, a large cupboard, and a lamp on each side of the bed. He also opened the door near the cabinet. That's a small bathroom.

He walked closer to the side of the room, where there was a large window. He opened the blinds, showing a view of the City of London at night.

His hotel's business district is not as busy as the city centre at midnight as it is now. However, the view still looks beautiful. He knows some people dared to pay a fortune just to book this VVIP room. Although he admits that, he is too tired of seeing the same scenery every day. He then closes the window indifferently.

"This place will be your room from now on," he said briefly, then put down Alexa's bag on the carpet and looked at his servant closely. "You're free to use it as long as you don't mess the room up. This is your bathroom. You can use the bed, cupboard, shelf, television, whatever you like. This room is yours now."
