Upon hearing Peng Mingzhu tell the manager to bring him upstairs, Mo Nianzu immediately grabbed onto her pink dress tightly and shook his head profusely.
"You don't want to go up?" Peng Mingzhu asked him.
He bobbed his head up and down.
"But it's dangerous for you to be down here," Peng Mingzhu told him.
"I-I can help you," Mo Nianzu told her while keeping a tight grip on her.
For some reason that he did not know, he did not want her to leave his sight. At the same time, he did not want to see her facing danger by herself. All he knew was that he would only be rest assured if he was by her side if she was going to run head on into the chaos of people that were running crazily outside.
Peng Mingzhu sighed, relenting, but also said, "You have to stay by my side the entire time. If you disappear from my sight, I'm telling the prince to change my pageboy."
Mo Nianzu instantly agreed with her. Besides, he was sure that he would never disappear from her sight since he did not want her to disappear from her sight.
"Miss Peng, are you sure you want to…" the manager started saying but before he could even complete his sentence, she already left while embracing the 10 year old boy since she was scared that she might lose him.
She thought that when she went back to have a look after talking to the manager, the scene would be calmer and she was correct.
Seeing the person that was causing the chaos in the area still running about with a bloody knife in hand and red eyes of who knows what emotions, she decided to stop him. She did not like being a hero to the public, but she did want to make Mo Nianzu safe.
Even though she had just met him, she felt close to him the moment she met him. She did not know why. However, she was one that knew how to think logically while still emotional, so she decided that as long as it was within her limits, she would spoil the boy for only one reason - which was that she felt close to him.
Letting Mo Nianzu down from her embrace, she told him, "Stay a safe distance from me and the person holding that knife."
"What are you going to do?" Mo Nianzu asked with a frown.
"Apprehending him," Peng Mingzhu answered the boy.
"Don't get hurt," Mo Nianzu told her.
He did not try to stop her. Even though this was their first day together, he felt that he could easily understand her. He did not know why, but he just knew that she would not do something if she was not confident about it.
Assuring Mo Nianzu that she would come back with no scratches on her body, she then left the boy a safe distance from the crazy man that was still chasing after random strangers.
With a lightning quick move, she got rid of the bloody knife that the murderer was holding in his hands and smacked him on one of the important points in the back of neck to make him pass out. Once he was laying passed out on the floor, she untied two of her sashes and tied up the man with them.
It was weird seeing two pink sashes with a tight knot on the hands and feets of a young man with blood all over his body. However, the remaining crowd that was still there did not care. Instead, they all cheered at the lady who managed to stop the murderer.
As she already managed to stop the murderer, she planned to go back to Mo Nianzu. However, before she could even move her feet, a middle-aged woman ran to her while crying out loud.
"Miss, please save my son! Please! I beg of you! He is my only son!" the woman grievously cried out.
Peng Mingzhu sighed out, "Ma'am, I-"
Just when she was about to reject, Mo Nianzu appeared in front of her and shook her hand.
With his cute and straight face, he asked her, "Can you save her son?"
Not expecting him to ask for such a request, Peng Mingzhu asked, "Xiao Zu, you want me to save her son?"
Mo Nianzu instantly nodded his head as though the person he was asking her to save was his own child.
"Alright," Peng Mingzhu said. "But only because you asked."
The moment that Mo Nianzu heard that, he blushed. He blushed for two reasons. One reason was that she accepted his request even though she could deny and the second reason was because of the last sentence she said.
"Where's your son?" Peng Mingzhu turned to the woman crying while begging her on the floor. "And get up. I don't like it when people kneel to me."
As though life was breathed into her, the woman got up from the floor even though she still continued to cry and led Peng Mingzhu to where her son was lying, bleeding profusely.
Seeing her son, Peng Mingzhu got out some medical supplies from her bracelet storage. However, since she was wearing a dress with long sleeves, the viewers thought that she placed them into her sleeves in case of emergencies.
After bringing out her supplies, she undressed the son, cleaned his stab wound, and nicely stitched it up. Her process was so fast that all the people who were watching her immediately knew that she was a professional.
At the same time, they all wondered, 'How come none of them has heard of such a skillful physician?'
Once she finished saving the woman's son, she got up from the ground and gave the woman some pills while saying, "This pill is a painkiller. If he wakes up and feels too much pain, has a fever or cold, just give him this with water to help him swallow. Make sure he stays away from over flavored foods like spicy, sour, salty, and whatnot. As for his stitches, just go to local physicians after two weeks or so and tell them to remove it."
While crying heavily, the woman thanked her profusely, "Miss, thank you so much! Thank you so much for saving my son!"
"Don't thank me," Peng Mingzhu told the woman. "You should thank Xiao Zu. If he did not tell me to save your son, I'd leave already."
Hearing her statement, the woman turned to Mo Nianzu and profusely thanked him.
Just when Peng Mingzhu thought that she could finally leave, eight more people got on the ground to beg her to save their family members that were attacked by the murderer while another two asked her to help them take care of their wounds since it was not too heavy. Since she has already saved one person, she could not reject nor deny the others, so she could only walk to all the bodies lying on the ground and try to save them.
When she finally finished going through all the family members of the ones that were begging her, she announced while pointing, "These four people are good. Just take them to the local physician to remove their stitches and pay attention to the same things I told the woman earlier. As for the other four bodies, just prepare a funeral for them."
As for the two people who were injured but could still walk on their own, they thanked her, "Miss, if you ever need help or anything, please do not hesitate to do so. You helping us today for free is one of our greatest blessings."
She did not need to ask them for anything, so she ignored their words. She did not even recognize their faces before she turned to the crowd to ask something else.
"Alright, now, are there anymore bodies before I leave," Peng Mingzhu asked as she did not want to be interrupted again when she wanted to leave.
One of the observers in the crowd raised their hand and said, "There's four more bodies, but we don't know them and...we don't really want to touch their bloody body."
"Just make space for me to be able to see them from here then," Peng Mingzhu said in an annoyed tone.
As soon as she said such a thing, the crowd actually did as she wanted. With them moving so that she could see the four people lying on the body, she did not need to walk up to them and examine to see what their condition was.
"Whoever's their family, tell them that they need to prepare a funeral for them," Peng Mingzhu immediately after taking only a short glance at the four bodies.
"Uh...Which one?" one of the crowd membered asked.
"All of them," Peng Mingzhu answered before turning to Mo Nianzu. "Xiao Zu, let's go. I've spent too much time outside today."
Agreeing with her, Mo Nianzu grabbed her hand at once and pulled her back to the estate.
