The woman slave looked at the owner, puzzled, after seeing him stunned when he saw the images carved in the concrete wall.
"Do you have any idea what those images mean?" Roshy inquired, rubbing her smooth chin.
"No," he said quickly.
"So, what exactly are we doing here? Let's keep moving; this image is none of our concern and will only waste our valuable time."
"Wait a minute, do you have any idea what the elves are?" He inquired once more, knowing that this woman knew more than he did.
She nodded but at the same time, wondered why this man suddenly wanted to know about elves. "Of course, they appear in some real-world movies, but they also have a lot of fictional stories. Why did you ask for information?"
"Then take a look at this." He took a step back and pointed the torch near the wall. To provide both of them with a satisfactory point of view in determining the meanings of the images.
The images depicted how the elves race lived peacefully a long time ago. Until there was a dominant dragon who teamed up with the Kobold to carry out the plan, which was to annihilate all the elves. Thousands of elves were brutally killed by the dragon's destructive power, prompting the King elves to use his final trick to win this war. The King sacrifices his own body by using powerful binding magic to encase the dragon inside the magical crystal.
Because the bunches were destroyed by the cracks and the dark algae-covered by it, that was the end of the story. Yumiro appeared to understand why the kobolds attempted to take the elf's blood; it appeared to be the only way to break the seal.
He barely smiled as he felt relieved that the elves weren't deceiving him. "I never regret helping them, but I wish I hadn't shown them my attitude." In his mind, this was the first time he felt that way, even though those elves were such an NPC, they seemed much more reliable than the true adventurers who did not make the right decisions in their life's journey.
"Hmm... a made-up story? It doesn't matter; I'm guessing the system put that there to confuse the adventurer, you know where inside the game, so it means they can put whatever they want here."
"It's not a made-up story; it actually happened a long time ago," Yumiro stated solemnly.
Roshy lightly slapped the concrete wall as she laughed at the man's words. "Grim, are you getting enough rest? You're just fantasizing about a scene that will never happen in the VR world."
"No, it's true, that's the hidden quest that I completed," Yumiro said weakly, taking his gaze away from the images. "Let's get going, there's something I need to know."
"Wait, wait, why do you always avoid answering my questions?" Roshy stepped forward, her arms outstretched, as if she was attempting to stop him. "I'm just wondering what you did in your hidden quest?"
Yumiro smirked, knowing that this woman would not let him go until she got a satisfactory answer. "I'm not doing anything special; I'm just saving the elve race from the kobolds monster."
"Kobolds? Elves? What exactly are you on about? I'm at a loss for words." Roshy was completely oblivious.
"If you don't have an idea, don't bother asking me because we're going for a peaceful walk, okay?" Yumiro gave her a sidelong glance.
"Yes, but, last question, what do you get from that quest?" she nodded, trembling.
"Hmm... It's pointless; I can't use it right now." He responded by kneading his chin.
"I asked, "What item?" I didn't say you couldn't use it or that you couldn't."
"Why, a magical knife and scroll?"
"A-A magical kn... a knife? And scroll? What are their exact details?" Roshy stuttered as she waited to find out what kind of item Grim had received. If it was a magical blade, she reasoned, it could increase the amount of damage she could deal. Aside from that, it can sell for more than $10,000 depending on the item level.
"Yes, you heard correctly, but I won't go into any further detail. Let's go inside."
Roshy sighed in disappointment because she couldn't do anything about it, so she took the lead of their journey.
"Grim~"
"Stop, if it has nothing to do with our business here, don't try to continue what you're saying right now."
To avoid an argument, Roshy decided not to spit any words and instead focused her entire attention on the upcoming dilemma that they will face.
When they arrived at the first section of the tunnel, it was divided into two sections, left and right. But that wasn't a problem because Roshy didn't hesitate to take the left path, which had torches plastered on the wall.
"Roshy, I guess we don't need this torch"
She won't turn around; she just needed to appear confident because she had the adventurer with strong Zexel. "Yeah, kill the fire and don't throw it away; instead, put it in your inventory; we might use it later."
He blew it without hesitation and was suddenly reminded of Roshy's words. "Is there a monster here?" The location had partial darkness, which slowed my movements."
"Grim, come closer to me at any time, the assassin in Uzui's party will most likely detect our presence here."
They saw a straight path ahead of them, but it wasn't too far because they could see the upstairs in the endpoint.
Yumiro spread his as he heard sneaky sounds all over the place, and they needed to take 30 steps before they stepped on the main surface of the place.
"What's the issue?"
"Shh..."
The sneaky sounds continued as they took each step slowly. If they make a mistake with their VR body, they will be removed from the game. "Tch, just a rat," Yumiro said, relieved that there was no enemy nearby right now.
"Is that a rat? Is there a rat here?" Roshy inquired, her lips and legs trembling.
"Why are you scared?" Yumiro was taken aback by her.
"Certainly not! I'm just curious how the game's creator makes it much more realistic." She pretended she didn't scare.
"Fine, if you say so." He responded with a solemn expression.
Since he knew what was waiting for them in that area, his gaze was fixed on the main platform. With two steps to go, the sweat on his brow was slowly dripping down as he adjusted his gauntlet, indicating that he was prepared to fight.
Then, all of a sudden, he heard a sharp sound coming straight at him, so he took a step in front of Roshy and crossed his arms.
Clang!
One knife was deflected by his gauntlets, and he smelled iron in the air. A woman in a mask stood in front of them; he recognized her because she had a bust chest and slim legs. Monsters' dead bodies were bathed in their own blood next to her.
"Roshy, you have the guts to come back after I failed to kill you, but it doesn't matter because I'm going to end this right now." A soft-spoken woman said.
Roshy yanked on Yumiro's black robe and said, "She's the adventurer I'm referring to; she's the most powerful member of the group. Garage, the assassin."
Yumiro punched his right palm with zeal. "The stronger adventurer is preferable because I want to satisfy my hunger for this battle."
