While Helder was trying to hide a smile to stifle a laugh, Bastian choked on something and shook his head. Bastian didn't feel like Scarlet was playing a role or anything like Helder had questioned. Scarlet was just testing the Demon King.
"It's time for us to play mercilessly. Scarlet, it's useless trying to buy time because it will only put Ludi and Petra in more danger." Bastian said closer until his position was now right behind Scarlet.
In the end, Scarlet nodded in agreement.
"Wouldn't it be better if you told me where they were? Or at least you told me where you locked Ludi?" Scarlet asked in a tone that turned calm yet cold.
Instead, the Demon King burst out laughing.
"Don't expect it. Even if you kill me." The Demon King said again.
