Petra didn't lie when her life alone was full of shocking secrets. So when Tom talked about a secret in a whisper it didn't surprise Petra at all. Only Petra was so curious about the secret that Tom wanted to tell the young man that he ran quite a distance to his meditation place.
The sea breeze still howled softly and made a comfortable swishing sound to make one lulled and fell asleep afterward. And in the utter silence, Tom stammered and couldn't bring himself to tell Petra directly.
However, if Tom held it in for too long, he might be able to drive himself insane. Tom didn't want to go crazy alone. At least there is Petra, who is willing to listen to his madness this time. Just really listening without bothering to argue or get Tom to dodge.
Then, very slowly, Tom opened his mouth ready to speak.
