In the past, even though Petra was an easy-going child and enrolled in Social class at Metropol High School, she never thought about wanting to help others as much as she is now. What happened to Tom's mother and Tom himself indirectly hit the side of humanity that had been Petra questioning herself. Because sometimes when Petra is alone she will only think about herself.
In the past, Petra only lived for her aunt and uncle and Abel, her only cousin. Maybe also for the sake of his ideals which he was not sure he could achieve. Even though Petra used to camouflage like a tough girl, it was just a cover to cover her fragile side that lost both of her parents, which even Petra couldn't remember her face.
