The night should have been cold because of the sudden heavy rain that fell on Metropol and caused a creaking sound on the roof and the iron stairs that connected the upper and lower floors. The rain should have eased a bit of the vague uneasiness that lingered in Lyon's heart.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The heavy rain only reminded Lyon more of the rain-like figure of Petra. The cold flushed then evaporated and disappeared somewhere without saying goodbye, let alone leaving a trace.
Of course, that was just Lyon's one-sided statement. That Lyon knew very well how Petra had responded to him all this time. However, his ego kept Lyon from admitting it. His stubborn nature only made things worse. At least that's what Paul thought.
