Chereads / Vengeance of the Fallen Magus / Chapter 20 - Introduction

Chapter 20 - Introduction

A day had passed after Chris was informed by Elea that he was successfully entered the guild.

He stood in the middle of the gallant interior, where there was a long carpet colored in red at the center. It was located right below where Chris was standing at it.

Unlike his usual attire, where he wore a regular jacket and a brown-colored shirt, he wore an attribute armor instead.

He was standing in front of the void that sat in the colossal-sized chair. He talked to him while two of the ladies were standing behind him.

"This is Chris Jansen, the prodigal man you were talked about? Lady Elea and Lady Leinstern?" That void asked both of them, which led them to kneel, and replied at the same time,

"As it is, Guild Master!"

Thus, as a well-mannered person, Chris introduced himself while kneeling like a knight,

"I'm Chris Jansen as both Lady Linberg and Lady Hora had introduced, the guild master of the Elanor guild."

"Hmm… This youngster is looking fine indeed. His eyes had told me a lot about his past experience. Welcome aboard, Chris Jansen, the grandson of Ars Jansen. I am his apprentice and close friend. Yet, you don't have to be that stiff to me. Treat me as your uncle instead since I'm Elea's father. Apologies for not showing up as I'm now in the outpost camp." That void introduced himself and talked to Chris in a friendly manner.

'Father, Elanor Linberg. I remember you were the one who proposed the idea for me and Elea to marry. And, you were the one who sacrificed your own life at the great magus war. This time, I will repay you with everything I had with my limitation as my teenager self!' Chris muttered at his mind, which led that void to react, and asked him,

"Any questions, Chris? Don't be shy about it. We are pretty open here."

Chris bowed down in a highly mannered way. Thus, he replied to it with a thank to the void, saying in front of that void which sat in the throne,

"I have no question that I shall ask for, Master. Any kind of tasks you may assign to me as a newcomer here?"

"Ahahaha!! It's fine, Chris. Let my daughter and Advisor Hora bring you to travel anywhere at this place first. As a newcomer, you will need to travel around before you are starting to venturing into the new world together with us."

"There is no need for that, Master. Chris had learned everything through the intel that Chris owned in this guild."

Everyone silenced as he had stated so. While in fact, he was bluffing. He knew about this guild way long ago in his past life when he was an extreme magus back then.

He remembered that as a dark guild member himself, he was highly regarded by the Elanor guild as the savior.

'I should be the one who repays the debt instead. So, you must not be doing anything good for me, father. I had hurt your daughter, and I shall accept the consequences, whatever it takes. Thus, apologize for being dishonest, father.' He muttered in his mind when he had bluffed earlier.

The void rejoiced for the newcomer's coming instead Of targetting Chris as if he had entered as a spy. Thus, that void replied at him with his gallant cheerful voice.

"You are talented, as what the Northern University had said. But unfortunately that they are expulsing you out temporarily for what you had done earlier. As per what I had managed to dig out from any sources I could get. Loki is legal to be killed by you, as Leinstern Hora's Master. I just…"

"It's fine, Master. I don't want to pry much with them as well. It's only a matter of time that I will kill him myself. But for now, I will be left him to be unable to fight for decades."

Thus, the wisp laughed, complimented Chris as it told him,

"What a well-planned long-term killing, youngster. Perfect! It's an honor to meet a talent like you."

Thus, the void had deformed itself into a middle-aged man wearing spartan army armor, dressed as if he was the team's commander.

"I love the way you think, Chris. It's exactly like what my ancestor had told us in their book."

"Father!" Elea knelt deeply in front of the commander. But, it was reflected quickly by him as he said,

"Don't get yourself too formal, daughter. Same with you, Chris. It's fine. You don't have to strain yourself into the formalities. We don't do it here."

"Thank you for the understanding, father," Elea replied to him, and she stood as soon as she had said so.

She fixed her eyeglasses slightly, looking at Chris, and asked him to raise his body up. But, Chris was insisted, and so do with Lein, who listened to Chris more than anyone.

"It's fine, daughter. Please leave this place first alongside Leinstern, tell Kingstone that the newcomer is coming." Elanor demanded both of them so.

Elea listened to him but not to Leinster, which led the man to smile with amusement. He told her,

"It's fine, Leinstern. I know that you are very loyal to your Master. But, I have a personal talk to him, please wait for us before we start to tour anywhere that the newcomer wanted to."

"But, Leinstern won't leave this place until my master asked so," Lein replied at him as she knelt and bowed together with Chris. Thus, he demanded his servant, who was his childhood friend as well,

"It's fine. Lein, I will have a talk with the guild master first. You may leave until I'm done here."

"If that's your command then, I shall leave from here. Do call me when you had done, Chris." In her understanding that led her to stand, she replied to him lowered her head a bit as a greet to the guild master. And she backed off together with Elea, leaving the place until both of their shadows were gone into nothingness.

"Raise your head, Chris. I know that you are having your second chance of life here." Elanor talked straight away to him, which led him to stand in a shocked face, replied,

"How do you know?"

"Law of the life and death. One of the Ancient Magus's forbidden magic. Tell me honestly about what had happened in the future. Everyone knows that if I'm abandoning my post just to meet someone, then that person is a significant person for me." Elanor stated that beforehand before Chris had managed to say something.

Thus, Chris sighed, and he told him,

"Thank you for the appreciation for me. Now, listen to me, father."
