Chereads / Vengeance of the Fallen Magus / Chapter 12 - Mastering Shadow Blade (Part 2)

Chapter 12 - Mastering Shadow Blade (Part 2)

In the backyard of the well-designed yet straightforward European-styled house, two beings stood together face by face.

Winds blew from the west to the north.

Leaves from the trees surrounding the backyard were fallen as soon as the wind crossed.

Slash!!!

A blood-red-colored slash mark had sliced through the fallen leaves, leaving it cut into half.

Slash!!!

Another leaf being sliced as well by the grey-colored blade.

Klang! Klang! Klang!

Two blades collided with the one that had the grey color and the one that had the red color.

"Not bad." The dragon guy complimented the lady who used that red-colored blade.

They shut the blade down as the sign that their sparring session had done today.

Thus, the lady complimented him with a questioning word.

"You had managed to push your rune magic's limit, do you?"

"Not really. It does improve, but I'm pretty sure that it's lacking." The dragon guy known as Chris Jansen replied to that lady.

Thus, she walked gently as her white high heel tapping on the grassland, reaching him, and rose her right hand to his forehead.

She moved her right hand in his forehead as soon as it had reached. She observed his forehead gently while gently moving her right hand.

However, she noticed something which led her to sigh and remarked.

"Your nerve goes blue again, Chris. Time to rest."

Without a doubt, she mentioned the nerve defect that rendered him unable to use his magic to the full extent.

'Not again. It's annoying to think that the magic will burden my brain power a lot.'.

He murmured so on his mind as the girl in front of him named Leinstern Hora had told him about his condition.

"Is there any way to dispel this incident?" He asked the lady as he remembered that in his past life, she was a medic who helped him to sustain his life, so he thought that she might have an idea about it.

But, she shook her head, showing her saddened face that representing her powerlessness for that. Thus, Chris raised his right hand, patted her head, replying,

"It's fine. We can try to think of another way to resolve my nerve defect."

Lein frowned when her master had stated so. To her, he had resigned his fate and awaiting the day when he would die just because of the magic casting. Thus, she replied to him with a questioning tone,

"How? It looks painful for you, Chris. Let alone casting magic, I often notice you hurting yourself when you are overthinking something. How could I not be worried?"

He smiled to the lady, whispering on his mind,

'You always be like this, Lein. As my servant, my lecturer, and even as my spokesperson in my guild. Your smile, I swear that I will protect your smile that you showed exclusively for me. '

On the outside, people will deem this lady as the most arrogant woman. In the class, she was the most caring lecturer, yet for Chris alone, she was the most loving servant who always prioritizes her master beyond everything!

Not to mention the sparring part where it was supposed to let Chris kill the student council who humiliated the lady. Suppose it was not because that she didn't know about Chris' plan. Then she would be the one who clashed with the referee to allow Chris to kill the man.

Yet, Chris chooses not to tell her about that as he knew that she would do that. Instead, he would prefer to lose his life to fight for the lady, rather than seeing her losing the only job that she could get.

Looking at the lady who had her tear dripped over her helplessness, he wiped her tears by using both of his hands, soothing her,

"Alright, Don't sad. I will think the other way. Now, tell me over what I can do with my shadow blade."

She hugged her master happily, saying,

"You are the best, Chris. Not in the class, not in the house. You always be the best one! I can't help you, but you forgive me instead. Thank you. Thank you for forgiving your useless servant."

'I won't let you go under Loki, Lein. In the past time, I trusted him too much that I entrusted you to him. Thus, I didn't know that he meant something wild to you. At this time, I won't let you get into anyone's hands anymore!' He murmured on his mind while he was patting the lady's head.

While continuing to pat her silk-soft hair, he told the lady as he looked at her with the gentle smile,

"You don't need to worry about that. I remembered that if we manage to use the magic efficiently, then this illness isn't longer an issue. Just, it will take a bit of time."

She looked up at the man while hugging him. But, The Dragon seemingly to be had his face painted to red pinkish.

'Shit! I can't fall in love with her! I had to remember that my wife is Elea, not Lein! Lein is a mere servant to me. But she isn't a mere servant either! Fuck me! What should I do?!'

His eyes moved distinctively as his face reddened, sweating too much visibly seen in his face that led the girl even hug him harder.

"Nononononono!!" Chris reacted in nervousness as he tried to move. But the lady kept hugging him with a strong force that lives up to her 'Dragon Killer' name as it was not meant for her battle experience, but for how she managed to render Chris unable to move.

At that time, he knew that he could not be able to move anymore as she had done the deadlock hugging, not to mention that her colossal breast had squeezed his upper stomach that led him to think that he should not be moving around.

Knowing that her master had stopped to retaliate, the lady asked him.

"How about I'm teaching you for rune code usage over three codes."

'Three codes? Never know that I could use the magic for more than three codes. I should learn that from Kingstone.' He murmured on his mind as he had known about it. Thus, the lady looked up at him, answered.

"It's possible. Even a kid could do that!"
