Chereads / Vengeance of the Fallen Magus / Chapter 11 - Mastering Shadow Blade

Chapter 11 - Mastering Shadow Blade

Three days after the incident happened in the university.

It was a room that seemed to be very luxurious, resembling the noble family's room, locked tightly with a dragon-man sat at the simple yet elegant table.

He wrote something in a book that had a brown-color cover with some yellowish papers beneath it as the content placed on that table.

Thus, He plunged his quill pen into the ink container that he had. Therefore, he pulled the quill pen out from the container, opened his book, and scribbled the diary he wanted to write.

He whispered on his mind as his pen had dancing beautifully in his yellow sheet that moved by his left hand,

'According to Elea, Loki had been returned to university with his leg crippled for good. It's more than enough for me to avenge for now anyway. But that crippling is meant for what he had done to Lein. Not for what he had done to me in my past life! Someday, I will make him pay for what he had done to me!!'

The dragon had written that content onto the yellow paper in his book, which made him smile profoundly. Thus, he whispered in his mind as he looked at his writing while scratching his wooden table gently.

'I remember the day that my writing was horrible. Not even someone like Lein could read it. Now, I think….'

_ACORDING TO ELEA, LOKI HA.._

"WHOA!!" Chris was shocked when a familiar voice that he knew had read his writing out loud.

"Ehihihi!! You have improved, Chris." That Lady who wore the male cloth named Leinstern Hora praised as the dragon guy looked back and wondering who was that.

He looked at that Lady, sighed, and commented to her as he closed his book.

"Please knock on the door before coming in. It's too rude!"

"Hey, Don't be that formal, bro! I'm your buddy, after all!" Lein replied to him with a disdainful tone as she felt disappointed for the words that Chris had blurted.

He pulled the table's drawer, taken the book to the place where he placed it by using his right hand.

Thus, he put the reader to the drawer gently, pushing it back.

"Can you help me to clean the table later? I need to train myself." He requested to the Lady.

"As you wish, Chris." She replied as Chris requested. Thus, he went back to his bed, lying down as he procrastinates to think over something.

Lein was wiping the table gently by using the towel prepared in the corner of the table to clean it.

Meanwhile, as the man procrastinate, he showered his mind from what he had to plan at that time,

'I will be banned for the whole year. At this time, I got to learn something. I wonder if Lein could extend the Rune magic to the extent that she wants?'

He was not sure about that as he thought that the Lady was the healing magus. It led him to rise from his bed, walking out to the door, asking the Lady before his right hand was reaching the door,

"I want to do the training. Do you want to join me?"

Lein, who heard that, had sighed. She thought that the man was about to train for revenge. But, it was a fact that he did have that thought. Thus, the Lady replied at him,

"If you want to train for your physical prowess, drop it. You had almost killed one person, remember?"

He stopped there, staying motionless.

As the question yelled, he turned back his body to look at the blonde Lady who stated so.

"That asshole deserved it! I won't allow anyone to hurt or even violate you, Lein!"

"But no matter what you had done, right or justified. It still wrong to kill someone, Chris. Listen to me, study properly. I can deal with them with my power. They are only a mere beginner magus. I can trounce them if you want!"

He looked at that Lady, moving towards her, placing his right hand on her head as he gently patted her head. Thus, he told her,

"It's not about that, Lein. You are a lecturer on the outside. You are completely powerless. But in teaching. You can become as fierce as you can. But remember your code of conduct as well. That's why I don't mind getting dismissed for a year just to avenging your feud."

Chris's grim expression had changed into the warm yet, full smile expression that the Lady had usually seen.

He continued to tell her as he said,

"I want to train my Shadow Blade, Lein. That is why I need your help as I could not be able to train it myself."

She looked at him with the worried look drawn to her face. Thus, she asked him for once again,

"You are not to train your brute force, do you?"

"No, Lein. I promise you."

"I will trust you this time, Chris, if you are lying about your willingness to learn the magic. Then I must tell the elder to send you to the Rune Knight camp!"

"Eh! Come on!" Chris looked at her in a surprised expression that led his head to move back, glancing at her with a weird glare.

That expression had led the Lady to laugh. Thus, she replied while hugging her master,

"I just teasing you, Young Master. No matter what will you do, I will follow you regardless. Suppose you want me to kill that Loki. I can kill him for you right now. If you want me to overthrown the university, I can do it for you too. Just one word from you."

Chris had his face drenched by sweat after the Lady had told him so. Thus, he replied to her with an awkward tone,

"Don't do that! You will kill your career!"

She looked up to her master, replied with a broad smile drawn on her face.

"Who cares if it's for master?"
