Realizing he had pissed himself out of fear, Ret jumped up and staggered his way off the arena. Seeing this, everyone in the audience began to laugh louder, and even Percy looked at Ret in disgust, planning to get rid of him now that he no longer had any use.
"If he tries to come back over, you guys know what to do," Percy says, his other followers nodding their heads.
By now, Vict had called out the winner, and Sydra had made his way off the arena, which Vict had turned back into its original appearance. Healing his wounds on his own, Sydra sat back down with Jason and Indra, and they watched the remaining matches together.
During Percy's match, Sydra was surprised by the sheer power behind his ice aura. Vict had changed the Terrain to be one of Burning Plains, but as soon as Percy stepped foot onto the terrain the entire thing turned into a sheet of ice. It was so powerful that even Percy's opponent was frozen, allowing Percy to flash across the ice and shatter all of his opponent's limbs.
"The winner is Percy!" Vict announces the crowd cheering and screaming by Percy's show of utter dominance against his opponent. Leaving the arena, Percy glances over at Sydra, who was staring at the arena in surprise.
'That's right, look at the pure difference in our levels of power,' Percy thinks, smirking as he jumps out of the arena.
With Percy's fight being the last one of the first matches, everyone was allowed a fifteen-minute break to do as they pleased until the next matches started. This allowed Sydra and the others to catch up for a bit and let them grab something to eat.
"It seems that Percy's aura has grown again, he wasn't able to change fire-type terrains before," Cho says, looking at Sydra, "Are you sure you'll be able to beat him?"
"Yeah, I just had issues on the Time Terrain because it was constantly shifting the time around me," Sydra says, "But it seemed that my opponent had some way to figure out what was going to happen before it did,"
"You mean Ret?" Jason asks, "I believe he can read the way aura is going to be used before it is, and that allows him to prepare for it. He probably couldn't use it so well with the dust all over the place though,"
Nodding their heads, everyone finishes talking and eating, and Syddra heads back into the arena, waiting for the next two people to be called out. The second that fifteen minutes is up, Vict walks back out onto his platform and calls out two names, causing the crowd to go wild.
"Jason and Indra," Vict says, "The two of you will be the next participants,"
Hearing their names being called, Jason and Indra look at each other for a few seconds in shock, before Indra starts to smile.
"Haha, I guess it's time I finally beat you, Jason," Indra says, hopping up from his seat and jumping into the arena. After a few seconds, Jason also smiles and jumps into the arena.
"Please, I won't be losing to you any time soon," Jason responds, slapping Indra on his back as he races to the opposite side of the arena. As the two of them go to their positions, Vict channels his aura into a rune that resembles a sword sticking out of a skeleton.
'Which terrain will it be this time?' Sydra wonders, watching as the ground morphs into that of a battlefield, destroyed by years of war and chaos. The battlefield has constant eruptions going off, and multiple abilities are flying through the air, casted by phantom soldiers.
Standing on top of a mound of overturned dirt, Jason adorns himself in his green armor, his two circular blades crackling in his hands. His appearance is that of an army commander, and it even appears as the ghosts of soldiers are standing in formation behind him.
On the other side of the arena is Indra, his body covered in an inferno of red flames, and a lightning spear in his hand, burning just as brightly. Sweeping his spear in an arc in front of him, Indra creates a wall of flames that his own regiment of soldiers walks out of.
'It looks just like a real battlefield, with both Indra and Jason commanding their own soldiers,' Sydra thinks, watching as both of the boys point their weapons towards the sky, calling down a lightning bolt to begin the charge.
Running across the field, Jason increases his speed until he is just a green blur, dancing between the explosions going off around him. Each step he takes leaves behind a green footprint and launches him farther towards his target.
On the other hand, Indra is standing at the back of his soldiers, tossing out spears in rapid susecion towards the incoming green blur. His spears fly out so quickly, that the ground is constantly shaking from the sound barrier being broken.
'He can't dodge them all,' Indra thinks, three spears spiraling out of his hand within the span of a second. The spears each cover a different point in Jason's path, making it so he's nowhere to dodge too.
"Come now, Indra! You should know that something like this can't stop me," Jason shouts, jumping into the air over the spears, his back inches away from them. Landing on the other side, Jason starts to run again, but that's when he finds another spear slamming into his chest, sending him flying back.
'He hid another spear behind the first three? But I didn't even see him throw it,' Jason thinks, picking himself up from the ground. Looking down, Jason finds the green armor around his chest has been badly damaged, and even part of his chest has been pierced through.
"You should be more careful, Jason," Indra says, multiple spears appearing in the air around him, "Whoever said that I had to be holding onto the spears when I throw them?"
Creating a small explosion at the end of each spear, Indra shot them all forward, causing Jason's face to go white.
'Damn this bastard, he really wants to beat me!' Jason thinks as he slams both his hands into the ground. From there a large green wall of wind erupts, blowing most of the spears into the sky, where they explode against the top of the arena's barrier.
However, the one spear that managed to pierce through the wall of wind was now directly in front of Jason's face, forcing him to release the wall to dodge it. Moving his body to the side, Jason reached up and grabbed the shaft of the spear, gripping it as tightly as he could.
"Here, I think you dropped this!" Jason shouts, his body spinning around several times as he adds wind to the back of the spear and throws it back towards Indra. With the addition of the wind, the spear's speed increase tenfold, and it simply disappears from the sight of almost everyone in the audience.
'Now this is truly interesting,' The king thinks as his eyes follow the spear as it spirals over the battlefield. On the other side, Indra appears basically frozen, his body not being able to keep up with the speed of the spear.
However, that doesn't mean he isn't able to do anything, as the moment before the spear hits him, Indra's entire body turns into fire, allowing the spear to pass straight through him.
'I... did it?' Indra thinks, looking down at his body flickering with flames. During his training, Indra had not only been focused on increasing the density of his flames but also spent time on changing the constitution of his body.
Until just now, Indra had only been able to change a small part of his body, but when he saw his own spear hurtling towards him, something inside his body changed, allowing him to achieve Flame Embodiment.
Seeing his friend achieve this, Jason smiles, "I guess I shouldn't hold back anymore, should I?"
"No, you're going to need to come at me with everything you have," Indra responds, his body growing four more arms, "After all, you won't be able to beat me unless you do,"
Rushing towards one another, both Indra and Jason slam into each other with enough force to shatter the ground beneath their feet. As the two of them battle, large gusts of wind, and blazing infernos spread around them, destroying the already ruined battlefield.
'They're not even using their lightning abilities anymore,' Sydra thinks, watching as Indra and Jason's feet leave the ground, the attacks using so much force that they begin levitating. The higher they go, the more elemental particles wrap around them, until both Indra and Jason are encased within spheres of their respective elements.
"Today is the day I finally beat you!" Indra shouts, pulling back from Jason and creating a massive fireball above his head, so large that it could be classified as a miniature sun.
"Please! If I lose to you today, then I will have no right to join the King's Guard!" Jason shouts back, the wind particles around him swirling so fast that a tornado forms.
Both Jason and Indra release their attacks at the same time, the force behind them causing cracks to form in the protective barrier around the arena. Seeing this, several people around the arena add more aura into the barrier to keep it from shattering, but it isn't enough to completely contain it.
'Boom!' As the two elemental attacks slam into one another the entire Thunder Nest shakes, and the top of the arena's protective barrier is completely blow off, sending waves of aura through the air. Luckily, the King is there, and he creates a net of lightning to keep the aura from wreaking havoc around the kingdom.
With the aura contained, it begins to die back down, until everyone is able to see into the arena once more. Standing in the middle is Jason, and Indra is kneeling on the ground by his feet.
"I... told you... I wouldn't lose," Jason says, holding a blade of wind to Indra's neck.
