"It seems that this helmet isn't very useful," Captain Henry says as he pulls off the helmet, a wicked smile on his face, "But it doesn't matter, as your going to die today anyway,"
Pulling out his sword, Captain Henry lunges towards Lucas, swinging the sword through the air viciously. Watching the sword, Lucas feels his body lock up, unable to dodge the attack.
"No!" Kayla yells, jumping in front of Lucas and activating all of her aura. Covering her arms with shields made from condensed light, Kayla deflects the sword to the side, but her shields shatter in the process.
Thrown off balance by having his attack blocked unexpectedly, Captain Henry stumbles to the side, giving Sydra enough space to push Lucas and Kayla forward, "Lead her into the room, I'll be there in a second,"
Grabbing Kayla's hand, Lucas runs down the hallway, leaving Sydra alone with Captain Henry. Pulling out the space bag, Sydra retrieves the two mythical rank daggers from within while activating his bone aura.
"Those are some fine weapons," Captain Henry says as he stands back up, "I'll take good care of them for you,"
Smirking, Sydra squats down, holding the daggers as some with decades of experience would, "Thanks, but I don't plan on giving them to you,"
Dashing forward, Sydra sends one of the daggers towards Captain Henry's head, while the other one aims for his gut. However, before either of the daggers can reach their marks, Captain Henry steps to the side, slamming the hilt of his sword into Sydra's side in the process.
"Argh!" Sydra yells, feeling some of his ribs crack as he gets sent flying through the air. Activating his water aura, Sydra creates a cushion on the wall to weaken his impact as he slams into it.
"You're pretty smart, to use your powers so wisely in a battle against me," Captain Henry says as he raises his sword into the air, "I guess I should use my powers as well,"
Taking a step forward, Captain Henry slams his sword into the floor, sending a wave of energy out of it. As the wave spreads throughout the room, Sydra feels his body becoming lighter, and his feet leave the floor.
'His ability... Is it Gravity Manipulation?!' Sydra thinks as he floats into the air, unable to do anything as Captain Henry calmly makes his way towards him.
"Isn't my ability useful? I can control the gravity in any given area, making it so my enemies can't even fight back," Captain Henry says, pointing the end of his sword towards Sydra's floating body.
Suddenly, Sydra feels a crushing weight slam him into the ground, the floor cracking beneath him. Unable to move, Sydra watches as Captain Henry Kicks him in the side, changing the direction of the gravity affecting Sydra at the last moment.
"I find it funny that King Arthur planned to have you protect his son when you can't even beat an S-rank," Captain Henry says as Sydra slams into the wall, the gravitational pull making the kick more powerful.
Raising his sword, Captain Henry prepares to finish off Sydra, but before he can move he feels something wrapping around his leg. Looking down, he sees a rope made from water pointing a silver spike at his right leg.
"I don't need to beat you, I just need to slow you down," Sydra says as the silver spike is pierced into Captain Henry's leg, allowing the rope of water to gain a way into his body. As the water flows into Captain Henry's leg, Sydra spreads it out inside his body, causing as much damage as he can.
"Damn you!" Captain Henry shouts as both his legs break, causing him to fall to the ground. To keep the water from wounding him further, Captain Henry reverses the gravity below his waist, forcing the water out of his body.
'It should take him a few seconds to finish removing the water,' Sydra thinks as he looks down the hallway. With all of Captain Henry's attention focused on his leg, the gravity in the room had reverted back to its original form.
Running as fast as he can, Sydra manages to make it halfway down the hall before Captain Henry notices, "Where do you think you're going?!" he yells.
Feeling his body becoming heavier, Sydra glances back to see Captain Henry diverting a bit of his aura to slow him down. The longer Sydra takes to escape from Captain Henry's reach, the heavier the gravity around him becomes.
'I really didn't want to have to use this,' Sydra thinks as he activates a small portion of his lightning aura and allows it to flow throughout his body. In a flash of black lightning, Sydra disappears down the hallway, causing Captain Henry to swear.
"You can't escape this palace! I have people watching from all directions," Captain Henry shouts, the aura in his body fluctuating strongly as he stands back up. Pointing his sword up, Captain Henry releases his gravity aura into the ceiling, causing a hole to form all the up to the roof.
On the other side of the palace, Sydra comes to a stop as he feels his body being corrupted by the black lightning. Halting the flow of the lightning aura, Sydra puts away the two mythical rank daggers and glances around his surroundings, noticing he is close to the door leading to the gateway.
'I hope Lucas and Kayla made it there,' Sydra thinks as he pulls out his Shadow Void Cloak and tosses it over his shoulders. Sinking into the shadows, Sydra makes his way to the room, passing a few guards working for Captain Henry along the way.
Opening the door, Sydra slips into the room and activates the Midnight Rhino pendant, a purple glow appearing in his eyes as the room lights up. The first thing Sydra notices is the fact that the girl with red wings is no longer in the room, and her chains laid broken on the floor.
Looking closer, he can tell that the chains had been frozen solid before someone smashed them to pieces, "Great, now that's another thing to worry about,"
Sighing, Sydra ignores the chains and heads over to the stairs, going down them two at a time. On the fiftieth stair, Sydra stops and looks at the wall, his eyes searching for the stone that King Arthur had pressed earlier.
"Here it is," Sydra says, pressing one of the stones in. Steeping back, he watches as the wall slides to the side, giving him just enough room to squeeze through.
"Who's there?!" a timid voice calls out. Stepping away from the wall, Sydra uncovers his face as he goes around the marble columns.
"It's just..." Sydra pauses as he sees Kayla guarding Lucas's body, her side bleeding from the large gashes. Looking past her, Sydra's face drops when he sees a large hole in Luca's chest, his clothes soaked with blood.
"What happened?" Sydra asks as he rushes over to Lucas's body, his hands already sparking with green lightning. Holding his hands over the wound, Sydra begins healing the wound on Lucas's chest while checking to make sure he was still alive.
"We were making our way to this room when several guards spotted us, attacking us upon sight, and wounding me. Attempting to protect me, Lucas fought back against the guards, but he was injured by one of their abilities and passed out," Kayla says as tears stream down her face.
"How did you escape the guards?" Sydra asks, pulling one of his hands away from Lucas's body to begin healing the wounds on Kayla's side.
"There was this girl... with red wings. She appeared out of nowhere right before the guards were about to finish us off, and killed all the guards with a single swipe of her wings," Kayla says, "After they were all dead, she walked over to Lucas and picked him up, before carrying him back to this room,"
"She helped Lucas? But I thought she hated the royal family... Somethings not right here," Sydra says, his eyes darting around the room. Seeing nothing, Sydra turns back to Kalya, "Where did she go after bringing Lucas here?"
FInding his answer met with silence, Sydra turns his attention back to Kayla, who is shaking as she points to the ceiling. Looking up, Sydra finds a pair of red bird-like eyes staring back down at him, belonging to a girl hanging from the ceiling.
As the girl watches Sydra closely, she unhooks her talons from the ceiling and drops down in front of him, "I don't wish to fight, I just want to go home,"
Sensing no malicious intent coming from her, Sydra nods his head and focuses back on Lucas, whose wound is completely healed. Frowning, Sydra raises his hand and collects the water molecules around the room, creating a large drop of water that he drops on Lucas's face.
"What's happening?!" Lucas shouts, shooting up from the ground, his hair drenched from the water Sydra dropped on him. Seeing the girl with red wings standing next to Kayla, Lucas jumps forward and tackles Kayla to the ground, "Look out!"
After a few seconds of using his body to cover Kayla's, Lucas glances back up and notices Sydra for the first time.
"Get up, she isn't going to hurt you," Sydra says, picking Lucas up from the blushing Kayla, "In fact, she saved your life,"
"She saved..." Lucas begins to speak, but his words are cut off by the sound of the floor moving. Behind him, the gateway column is raising from the ground, the gateway opening as it senses Lucas's presence.
As everyone stares at it, the entire room shakes, and cracks begin forming in the ceiling before it is ripped away. With light pouring into the room, Sydra looks up to see Captain Henry keeping the ceiling in the air with his aura.
"Time to go!" Sydra shouts, grabbing everyone and shoving them all into the red gateway, the sound of the ceiling crashing back down echoing behind them.
