That night, we smacked Callan to our heart's content. After hitting him a couple of times, Verrill and I got annoyed. Who wouldn't be? Even if we punched him and kicked him many times, his body was too sturdy with all those muscles. I doubt he felt any pain at all. We were lenient without punishment, too, since we're still merciful—he's a model after all. If we beat him up for real he might end up in the hospital. My punches were my specialty, and kicks were for Verrill since being a musician like he was, he's careful not to damage his prized hands.
So… how should we punish him instead?
