"Summer! I said get up! You are going to be late again!"
I groan as I sit up and rub my eyes.
As much as I want to be successful in life, I really hate going to school.
"Summer!"
"I'm up already!" I shout back at whoever's calling me early this morning.
I had a late night with Chelsea last night, and I'm not ready at (I check my bedside clock and my eyes widen.)
7:15!
Holy shit.
I get off my bed quickly and in my rush, I fall on the floor.
Ouch.
I get up and hurry to the bathroom to get ready.
Why don't I use this time to introduce myself.
My name is Summer Hathaway. I have blue eyes, dirty blonde curly hair, and I'm clumsy.
I'm your typical 18 year old who has an amazing, crazy best friend named Chelsea and parents who can't seem to get enough of me.
I wish.
You'll all get to meet them later on, but right now, I can't seem to find my shoes.
I walk to my door and open it.
"Mom! Did you by any chance see my shoes?!"
"Check under the bed honey. And be quick or else I'll leave you!" I roll my eyes and I walk to my bed.
Lo and behold, they are there.
I pull them out and wear them.
So where was I? Right.
I'm the only child of my parents so they fuss over me since there's no one else to fuss over.
Sigh.
Sometimes, it's a little annoying.
I pack my hair in a ponytail and I grab my bag as I hear downstairs.
Our house isn't too big, neither is it too small. It's just a three bedroom house. It has three bedrooms, 4 toilets, a living room, a kitchen, a courtyard, a garden and a pool. Oh and don't forget my dad's study. The rooms are upstairs and a toilet is downstairs.
Speaking of my dad, I see him by the foot of the stairs in his suit and tie.
Everyone, meet my dad. Daniel Hathaway. He has blue eyes, blond hair, and my clumsiness, from him. He's a lawyer and works for a big law firm( the name I can't seem to pronounce) and a real nice man.
At home, he's a funny, kind, and playfully dad, but at work, he's very professional.
"Morning dad." I greet him.
"Morning kiddo." He kisses my forehead and heads upstairs.
I walk into the kitchen to see my mom also dressed for work.
Meet my mom, Ava Hathaway. She has blue eyes (see where I got my eyes from?), brown hair, and she's really stubborn (I got it from her). She's a doctor at the city's biggest hospital and as much as she's always busy, she makes time for her family.
"Hi mom." She looks up from her coffee and smiles.
"Hey sweetie. Did you sleep well?" I sit by the counter.
"Well I did, until someone decided to chant my name in order to wake me up." I say and she rolls her eyes.
"You know you never wake up until I shout your name." She hands me a plate of bacon and eggs and I dig in.
"You could always come upstairs and gently tap me." I suggest.
"Now where's the fun in that." I roll my eyes. "And besides, if I ever come upstairs to wake you, it's with a bucket of cold water." She's states and I gasps.
"Mom!"
"Yes sweetie?" She answers innocently and I shake my head.
My golden retriever runs to meet me and I bend to rub him. He's a good boy, he's 8 years old, his name is Shawty, and a real charmer.
He's usually asleep most of the time and a real lazy dog.
My dad walks in at that moment.
"You all ready to go?" He asks and we both nod.
My mom carries her bag, I carry mine and my dad carries his briefcase and we all head outside.
We don't all ride in a car. We all have our own cars, but we like to leave together. As a family.
My dad walks to his wine 2011 Honda accord that he got with his own money, my mom, to her white 2015 Chevrolet equinox that she got with her own money and I, to my dark blue 2016 Ford fusion that my parents got me for my 18th birthday.
"Bye guys." I say as I enter my car.
"Bye sweetie." My mom replies.
"Have a great day!" My dad says and pulls out of the driveway.
I drive off first, then my mom, and finally my dad.
Well, that's a little insight of my life.
