Chapter 66 - The beach

Have you ever been in a situation where the person you thought would stand by you, the person you thought would never forget you, actually did?

"Mom?" I take a step towards her and she takes a step back.

"Who are you?" She asks me in a soft voice.

"It's me." I could feel myself tearing up. "Raven." I say and take a step again towards her, but she takes another back.

"You aren't my Raven."

"Mom."

"My daughter doesn't look like you! You're an imposter!" She shouts and I stopped.

The woman who was standing in front of me with a white dress didn't look like someone who saw a person she recognized.

The was the look of someone trying to find all means to get away.

That was the look my mother gave me. Because she desperately wanted me to leave her alone.

What I feared the most, what I dreaded the most had happened. My parents turning their backs on me.

.....

I wake up with a start and I'm sweating profusely.
