The scene shifted to three beings reaching out to each other in an attempt to combine their powers. Once the three breathe their last breath, all of their abilities combined which separated the main universe into countless ones that created different timelines which also sprouted other universes.
Joe is surprised upon witnessing the combined might of the three creating multiple timelines and separating them into different realities. He knows that the multiverse was already in place when the creator made the original universe but the three combined created an ever-branching unstable multiverse.
Due to this, the old gods that managed to reach the original universe got pushed back to the further reaches of the multiverses where it would take them considerable time landing back in the original one. The three closed their eyes simultaneously and turned into three different colored lights as a result of their sacrifice.
