The training continued until the satellites that they hacked finally gave clear results. The facial recognition device has given a match to John Smith. He is currently in Jihan's home country for reasons unknown and is teaching at a prestigious school.
"Why is he at a school like that when he is currently hiding?" Esme asked as it does not make sense why a fugitive like him is in a prestigious school.
"I agree with Esme. If I am going to hide in a country, then I would have posed as a teacher in a countryside school or something and not a prestigious one." Dustan stated which made Esme flush a little since the former agreed with her opinion.
"I dug up the school's reputation and facts and I manage to see that something is troubling the school as of now. I do not know if it is true but there are rumors that say that the school is haunted. The school, of course, tried all attempts so that the rumor will not spread since it would damage their reputation." Whiz stated as he pulled up the deleted social media platform posts from the students.
"When did this haunting 'start'?" Jihan asked.
"Apparently, they have been stated to start when one of the students committed suicide in the school grounds. The investigation has not yet concluded on the reason for that student to do so as she had no tendencies.
Let us hide the student's identity as Jane Doe. Her background is investigated, and it seems that she is from a well-off family, and she pretty much grew up like a princess. She did fine in school and did not struggle as she is in the top 20s in her school.
The only thing that they can think of her being able to commit the unthinkable is the sudden divorce of her parents but that cannot be the only factor. Sources claimed that the girl still kept in touch with both parents and are in amicable relationship with them.
There is also the possibility that her death caused something to awaken. You know like in the movies where a blood sacrifice must be made or something which is why the supposed hauntings started at the time of her death." Whiz stated but Adrian looked at him in disbelief that a science person would say something like ritual sacrifice.
"In my time roaming the Earth, I have seen all types of sacrifices and such but all of those were done to appease higher beings. I also learned that if a prayer or ritual is not carried out then the ritual will fail. Did the girl believe in witchcraft or something?" Joe asked as he tried identifying a solid lead of why this John Smith fellow is currently teaching at that school.
"Nothing out of the ordinary. In her social media feed, it is all normal stuff about girly stuff and idols that she supports." Whiz stated.
"What is John Smith doing in that school?" Sofia asked.
"He is currently teaching English in that school since the previous teacher that they got suddenly fell gravely ill and had to be admitted to the hospital. All I have pulled from the school records is that he got employed about a week since the previous teacher went to the hospital." Whiz stated as he tried searching for more information using his ability.
This is the first time that Adrian witness how Whiz' full ability works. His eyes looked like electricity is passing through it and a number of ones and zeroes are appearing on it. It seems that he sends his consciousness directly to the sea of information. He is basically the best hacker that could live due to his ability.
"I see. It seems that this is the only information we could get from scouring the internet. The next thing would be to infiltrate the school and get information from them." Joe stated.
"Do we do the usual and kidnap one of the teachers then have Patricia pose as that teacher?" Dustan asked as that is usually their protocol.
"Scary!" Adrian commented but they did not mind what he said.
"This time it is better to pose as a student than a teacher while another team will covertly follow John Smith." Joe stated.
"I see then it seems that me and Dustan would be the perfect choice of being the students that transfer from that prestigious school do we not?" Patricia stated but Joe shook his head.
"This time it would be better to have those who understand the language be the ones who infiltrate the school. Whiz find out where John Smith is currently staying so that Patricia will try and get close to him as a neighbor since she will do operation 'Honey Trap'. The ones who will enter the school will be Adrian and Jihan." Joe stated.
"I get Jihan but why Adrian though? A school is filled with hormone induced teenagers with explosive emotions. He might endanger the mission." Esme stated as she did have a point.
"If it just a school then I can manage now thanks to the training sessions that we are doing. Also, I know how to speak the language and there is also this suspicious haunting that might be the reason why our target is in that school in the first place." Adrian stated.
"He is correct with that assumption. I also got the messages from the King of Hell and Thoth. They stated that their books of the dead are in place, but they noticed some discrepancies on it. It seems that some of the names are getting erased while some are being added. We need to be sure with the success of the operation this time since the fate of humanity is at stake." Joe stated as everyone, but Adrian gulped from the weight of the mission.
