Everyone lived in fear under the Emperor for half a decade, but things soon took an interesting turn.
The Emperor became senile, he began to kill people at random, he would imprison the citizens and one after the other he will pick them and kill them off in a random fashion.
Everyone spent each day shivering in fear because of the unknown, they spent the night praying into the morning that they were not picked to be killed next.
Each week he would select a hundred people and take their lives about ten or more each day.
People didn't know if he did this out of some twisted pleasure gain he got from the death of people or it was for a reason in particular.
It was the dark ages, the citizens we're too powerless to do anything about their predicament.
But underground, away from the many eyes and ears the Emperor had, a secret meeting was taking place. These people were tired of the reign of the Emperor and decided to put an end to it.
